poll is missing an option: Set looting rules prior to party / raid

just quoting this again for the lulz seems we pesimistic doomsayers have more touch with reality than you leet programmers i can feel the server improving already due to core and db being leak.. I'm mean being released to the public to continue as an open-source project.

I'd rather be pessimistic and get pleasently surprised from time to time, than look at the world through pink glasses and get my dreams shattered constantly.

it's you bro who doesn't understand. The open-source project will improve IN THE LONG RUN. I'm just saying what it means for the server that is currently on the run. TL;DR it will get worse before it gets better

You make it sound like Shenna had any control of what's going on The code went open source the moment it was leaked and she had no saying in it. Elysium days are numbered because the open source server on the go is also open hack server. You guys are naive if you think everyone with programming knowledge will go right of the bat to improve the security and the core and not just use that knowledge to exploit the shit out of Elysium, Anathema, Zeth'kur etc. and make it a living hell for anyone. Some hacker troll will simply leak ways to dupe gold, bypass game mechanics, textures or create items out of thin air - you think playing on such server will be fun?

if you think addon development and server core development are same thing, then you clearly have no clue how security works. addons are nothing more than graphical representation of what is already accessible to everyone - it's all about one's creativity and ingenuity. server security is a constant cat&mouse game between defenders and attackers, that gives the defenders only slight edge if the code is inaccessible to the attackers, so that the attackers (hackers) have to keep guessing how to breach the defence. the only positive thing that can come out of this is if other teams (twinstar etc.) will build on it on their own. Shenna is good at damage control and playing hero for doing villain's work. What a twisted and wicked girl she is. I'm having a constant boner reading her posts.

Don't forget to thank Shenna & Elysium staff for doing great work: 1) taking core from Nostalrius staff 2) hiring shady mfckers and giving them access to the server 3) leaking the core (and most likely the database) to the public. Oh cmon but they gave you your daily fix of vanilla WoW for 2-3 months. They did it all for you, disregarding their own personal, selfish interests - can I get some applause for those amazing and selfless human beings? Open Source project - fuck yeah. Now all the hackers and botters can help you devlop the game to make it even more bot / hack - friendly then before. If they succeed you will never know they are here

I know I defended Beerwizard, but I'd like to give you the other side of the coin on this matter. First and foremost you don't want to pick fights with your faction tanks (unless they are utter scrubs, then its fine as you won't have much use for them anyway) As for looting system, usually you can tell what loot rules the party is using, simply by waiting few seconds with the roll and seing how other people, who don't need that boe roll. if you are the first to roll need on Forror's Compendium of Dragonslaying as a non warrior/paladin then you are a lootwhore and a douchebag. there are so many ways to farm gold in this game, but very few to get BiS gear. don't be a douchebag is my general rule for any party loot remember that rules are set on the go, as the server and community progresses. in this particular case majority vote about whether rolling need is ok or not is irrelevant, as majority of players on elysium are retail scrubs or just noobs who you wouldn't want to team up with anyway. if you gonna get blacklisted by all the decent players on this server then u might as well reroll

I would very much like this changed. If not removed then greatly diminished. That way all the afk leechers, who queue up and hope for easy honor will either have to start participating or stop queuing BGs

Just to give you an idea how retarded the current state of pvp items is I will give you an example from Mage class There are two sets of pvp items available for some players lvl 60 gear and lvl 58 gear those are two different sets applying the 2 part bonus (+23 dmg/healing) seperatly (u get +46 dmg just from 4 part set bonus) so in total you can have 4 items: 58 gloves , 60 boots, 58 legs, 60 chest total bonuses from those 4 items are: spellpower: 122!!! stamina: 60 int: 40 spirit: 21 crit: 1% hit: 1 %

Why the fuck are buffed lvl 60 blue pvp items still in the game? You removed them from vendor, but kept them on people who bought them prior to nerf How long do we have to wait to have this fixed? Don't you guys understand you're fucking up the game expierience allowing people to run items that surpass BWL loot?
