My friend is also unable to connect right now, just gets D/C'd every time he tries to log in. He hasn't played in a few days but everything was working before.

Spammed login as others suggested and got in. Had to try like 5 times in a row

Logged in for 5 minutes, got disconnected, cannot log back in now, stuck at authenticating.

Just adding another report, I've also been unable to connect for about 40 minutes now. I go through authenticating, handshaking, etc, but then I'm instantly disconnected before getting to the character selection screen.
