So a friend rolled Paladin, and we're going to be levelling together (me as Druid) on a PVP server. He hasn't played since Vanilla, nor I since TBC, and playing Horde back then we didn't know much about Pallys. He doesn't really do forums either, so I'm trying to learn a bit about builds and playstyles to help smooth the way.
We’re not racing to 60, just looking to enjoy the quests and the PVP along the way. Having a read of various threads, I took this as a bit of a baseline build: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sxxzZVuZxfotrcqo
A few pre-60 questions though:
I figure with dungeons it'll often end up with me tanking and him healing. Is healing fine without talents? [the above 11 points in Holy don’t look like much help]
Does retribution rely on any particular synergies / rotations that might need pointing out?
Are there any skills best left off the action bar altogether?
In retribution PVP, is much mana used offensively? Or is it a bit of buff/debuff and then just heals as needed?
Anticipating plenty of PVP while levelling, is there anything I should know about fighting alongside Paladins? I know they can't disengage as easily as druids, guessing they're more vulnerable to kiting. Anything else like that?
Any advice appreciated!
