On Vanilla is there a way to tell how many time a character has died?

Not even an Add-on that anyone knows of?

I was on darrowshire realm and there was a lvl 1 nightelf twink killing all the beginning lvl players in the zone that took the bait. Ork starter zone, after she killed me and my wife who where lvl 6 and 7 respectively with no problem. My wife logged and whisperd on an alliance toon of hers and she showed her gear with +100 health etc. Question, how does a lvl one get there without leveling? Is this legit or a hack?
