Thank you all for this information. I'm pretty new to Elysium (35 Alliance druid), having followed my brother on Darrowshire after a 7 year break from WoW. Now I'd normally be content with a PvE server and get my PvP fill casually on BG's... only I haven't managed to join a single BG yet. Asking on general chat I was told that queues would be instant at 60, but am wondering how instant they'll really be, after reading posts about the one faction dominating another (Ally premades vs. Horde PuGs). I'd hate to level to 60 only to find BG's few and rare.
I'll see how Zeth'kur treats me. I like the thought of the world being fresh; Darrowshire's general chat gets spammed by guilds with BWL on farm and it all makes me feel like I've missed the bus.
I have my doubts about world PvP though. The battles are big fun for sure, but in my experience world PvP usually revolves around one side holding an advantage over the other: higher level, more people, enemy engaged vs. mobs, and so on. I've yet to get assaulted by someone lower level... ever! The old "honorable fights in war?" debate I suppose. Still, the one time in TBC where 5 equal and higher level warriors beat themselves to death (twice!) on my protection pally remains the best PvP memory of all time!
