  1. No, this has always been true. You did not need to maintain your rank to keep your gear on...
  2. No word yet posting for the sake of traffic = attention.
  3. lol i have nothing to do with any of this, you presumptuous twit! It's a risk you take doing business with a person you don't know, and it's why people mkae friends and guilds and have regular crafters they do repeat business with. take it as a lesson learned, like the poor slob who cries for a "scammer/ninja" ban on someone rolling need on world boes. get a spine.

Good rate of gold per hour while farming?

Mafia is the best thing I have ever heard of. How do I help?
  5. not a "scam" in the sense that the person cheated or exploited any code or game mechanic to create an unfair advantage. he took advantage of YOU, a moron.
  6. popular =/= right. BOEs like this are all need, everyone knows it. it prevents ninja'ing if everyone just needs. then if the "nice" (sucker) person wins and wants to give it to you, fine. but theres not a guarantee just because he is a warrior that he will equip it. the argument that you "make" them equip it right away is dumb, you can't "make" anyone do that. they can just leave. your membership in a group doesnt make you a supreme emperor.
  7. This is not a ninja. It's been that way for years, to all need on crazy BOEs like this even sellable blues

    RESERVE RUNS

Another topic of false controversy. I played retail in vanilla and items were certainly reserved in runs. Not every group. I do remember them being advertised. This server is also far denser than any retail server. More messages, more people looking, more realistic to pug these days in general. If you don't agree with it, you don't join. Simple as that. If you want to go to this or that group being advertised and don't need or want this thing being reserved, it doesn't matter. If you are competing directly for a specific item, and are upset that there is another group someone within your purview and you just can't abide it, that is a ridiculous mentality. Make another group. Find another group. What difference does it make to you? Grow up. This is exactly the same kind of complaining that these people who cry about pvp happening. It's the dungeon crawler version.

No, that isn't obvious to me, either. Sheeping a mob someone is trying to kill is just a funny thing you get to do as a mage. All sorts of things you can do to avoid this: 1. Leave 2. Play another game, read a book, go for a run 3. Play on pve where there is less competition and thus incentive for these cartels to timesink in such a way. If the cartel found a way to extend its influence across factions, then you'll have to do the same with your counter-insurgency. This could also be independent actors, simply trying to get you to leave so they can reset the mob and tag it. That seems like a crafty way for a mage to control his or her farm spawns, to me. Figure something out, choose anther spot, or out-compete, out-wait them. I have read lots of replies saying this sheeping thing is "clearly" or "obviously" bannable, with zero citations of explicitly stated rules nor precedent. Only anecdote. And I would argue the above point as to why it should not be, were this the case. Frustrated about a gameplay matter with in-game resolutions. It's ok to be frustrated. But trying to take some moral high ground and plead for authoritarian intervention is just pathetic. And no they are not necessarily china farmers. Like I said, these people are doing you a favor. They are giving you the kind of immersive gameplay experience that you can seldom find in any game. I'm actually excited for the servers to be up so I can level and get to ungoro and see these cartels operate because that is some classic and heavily player-driven stuff.

I just found out about this while reading forums. I have to say, I am appalled and disgusted by the amount of players who are calling for bans or other control actions being taken against people for an issue that can be resolved through gameplay. This false dichotomy argument that "random" world pvp is ok, but that organized, objective based world pvp is something that should be actionable is completely insane to me. No, you do not speak for everyone. Or most. Or anyone other than yourself. No, everyone posting rebuttals to your hyperbolic "they're all chinafarmers gg" baseless claims is not part of the cartels themselves. If anything, this is a more immersive, player-driven experience than any other game could really offer. This is an MMORPG - A Massively Multiplayer Online ROLE PLAYING GAME. You are playing the role of a member of one of two opposing, if not outright warring, factions. The resource gathering is a real and necessary effort. Yes, that is your time as a real life person, but you are playing this genera of game. You CHOOSE to use your time in this effort. The part I don't get is, why choose the pvp server if this isn't what you are looking for? This is the pvp-server experience taken to its logical extreme, and something many players and lovers of this game would have loved to experience at all. It is the kind of this those of us who did play in vanilla and remember the squads of campers in ungoro and tyrs hand who would attempt to dominate these very popular grinding spots and bring the ire of their in-game enemies. Epic battles, camp wars, counter-cartel niceguy squads, these are things friends of mine and I still talk about in fondness remembering our days coming up when the game was new. It is sort of a parallel with the general media landscape, of this hyperbolic alarmism where calls for authoritarian intervention are bellowed by those who would just as soon quit anyway. Totally disconnected from reason.
