This is going to be quite a long drawn out post that is completely up for debate seeing as i know nothing of the population of zeth kur or reasonings behind the transfers Note: I am literally just an elysium leveler who got really salty by the fact that 8 alliance ganked me in hillsbrad foothills.
overall I can see no reason of why the elysium staff decided to merge servers seeing as elysium (in my opinion) was at possibly the most blizzlike population of any private server ever but, many people seem to agree with the elysium staff and what they did which is what I am most concerned about. Basically right now the situation is it is 10 in the morning on a sunday (so of course the servers are going 2 be quite packed) but I logged on today and was greeted by 8k horde online and 6.5k alliance Note: this is most likely just because zeth kur people are hyped and want to play on the server but, It has become literally impossible to level in any contested zones seeing as some dick starts to gank which spirals into people going full tilt and logging onto there mains which leads to mass KOS. What baffled me even more was the fact that when someone complained general chat practically lynched him calling him a casual and someone even claimed that this was blizzlike and from what I remember 5k people online in vanilla was considered very high pop. Overall I can see the other side of the argument as (from what some random guy in chat said) zeth kur frequently only had 500 people online (overall I believe that this was a huge exaggeration and there was most likely more but, if this is true it means that elysium is willing to sacrifice there largest and best server to accomodate a fairly small amount of people which overall leads to the overpopulation which was a major issue on nostalrius.
I would love to see a good counter argument from someone more knowledgeable on this issue than I currently am so... looking forward to every ones responses on this topic.
