How to actually calculate how much SP crit is worth?

@Light great response you have a lot of solid and correct info in your post but I wanted to add to it as I think your values (e.g. 1 crit is valued at 7-9 SP and 1 hit is valued at 10-12 SP) are correct for earlier patches, but not for the current 1.6 patch. Furthermore, unless I read over it I don't believe you've accounted for imp SB debuff. @Superomegop the answer to your question is very difficult as it depends highly on your raid environment and world buffs you get. For example, if your raids runs 4 warlocks and hunters are not using Lupos (Lupos auto attacks will eat a stack of Imp SB debuff) then crit is worth a LOT more- actually its about equal to 1% hit. As Light points out crit becomes more and more valuable as you get more SP because of destruction talents. The easiest way would be to edit the Warlock BiS google doc to show your current gear, in the "Character tab" it will take the gear you've chosen from the "Gear" tab and do the math for you. In my current gear crit is worth about 13 SP while 1% hit is worth 14 SP, assuming a 40% imp SB uptime (to be honest that number I chose randomly). @quasexort I agree with Light here, as you get more hit it's value compared to crit starts to decrease. The point where the values intersect tho will depends on your SP. 10% is about right in patch 1.7.

Warlock T2 Boots in Patch 1.6

From lists I had previously found I was under the impression that the T2 boots were suppose to have 18 spell power instead of the 27 they current have. Can anyone give further information on this?
  3. Every BiS list I have shows that the stats we currently have on Warlock T1 and T2 gear is correct- Yes sadly T2 helm/legs suck and is no longer BiS for locks going into BWL.
  4. Based on original Vanilla wow dates and the timelines for other servers it looks like although we will get the patch next week that we wont see our first DMF until early August. Are there any plans to give us access to the DMF for a couple days when the patch hits?

    Of Shadow Wrath

Hey guys I've been trying to find out the ilvl for shadow wrath max damage affix to figure out what areas are best to farm for a chance at getting shadow wrath or similar items to drop. So far no luck, does anyone have this info?
  6. Dude… "are you going to cry", all I said is, "I think this is a good idea". The problem with people on the internet highlighted perfectly. That said here is my 2 cents detailed out feel free to agree or disagree, hopefully you’ll at least read this: It's my opinion that your counter arguments and held position don't represent the conditions of WoW raiding during Vanilla. This server came out a decade after Vanilla was fresh content, which is the main difference that needs to be discussed, here are some factoids and info… You can dispute the time it took players to kill Rag from when MC was launched since MC and Ony raids both existed in the Beta, but just for laughs consider that Wow Launched (with these raids) on November 23rd, 2004 and the world 1st kill of him happened April 25th of 2005- 153 days after launch. Furthermore, the world 1st Rag kill happened 74 days after the first Major Domo kill. Elysium started January 7th, 2017 the first Rag kill was January 18th, 2017 (I believe maybe off 1-2 days). Not even 2 weeks after the server started! The amount of people in the world even at this boss in 2005, yet alone on a single server was nothing compared to the guild statuses on Elysium and all other private servers- and therefore the amount of people even potentially using these pots. This is because a large percentage of the player base on our server has already mastered this content and I’d be willing to be will blow through it continually until maybe late AQ40 bosses and Naxx (if the server lives that long). Dynamic respawns take into consideration the population difference for the server but not the effective population farming for raid mats on the server which is one of the major contributing factors for the increase in price for these potions. This coupled with the “mafia’s” are making previously very cheap raid consumables a fortune. I am all for making things blizz like but there are a few aspects where we aren’t comparing apples to apples. This is why I think making certain consumables less of a bear to farm is healthy for the server so people aren’t burnt out farming 200 gold for MC raids (assuming you use at least 1 flask). I can make gold, don’t get me wrong but it becomes a chore and not fun quickly for many who aren’t as good at gold making as some. I don’t know how to find this data but I’d find it VERY hard to believe that a single GFPP was selling anywhere close to the 7+ G one is currently (Alliance side). All this said many of the arguments on the forums about protection potions are semi null since most of the fights don't even require them until possibly Naxx... At this point in time GFPP's are simply a nice to have.
  7. That's because pf Paladins not try-hards or that alliance has better skilled players.....

    The Gates of Ahn’Qiraj

IMHO 46+6 ppl isn't a lot, obviously no one will literally sit online 24/7 to complete this but I tried to make a few normalizing assumptions to show that maybe copper, as an example, isn't that unaligned with what we should expect when planning for an event to last 3-4 weeks. Hope you'll agree! 1,250,000 required, 36,300 turned in already, leaving 1,213,700 more bars to be turned in. Using conservative assumptions lets say the following is true: A player gets 8 ore per DM run, does 4 DM runs an hour, and commits 2 hours a day to farming. This results in a single player getting 64 bars/day, and therefore it would take a single player about 19,000 days to complete the copper turn-ins. I don't play on Anathema (I'm on Elysium) so not sure what the typical population is however, I found a thread from a month ago stating that 11.5k was experienced during peak hours on Sundays- I'll use this as a conservative assumption of active accounts although I believe we can agree there's more. So... if you wanted to complete the copper turn ins in 3 weeks (21 days) you would need 900 people or 8.18% of the server population to spend a couple hours a day in DM. All-in-all this seems reasonable to me as this is an averaged normalization. As you get closer I'd think that people will start to focus farm more on the gaps, AKA more people will spend more time to get it done. Regardless I'm sure the developers will keep an eye on the up-scaling, they obviously don't want to lose players. If a mat requirement is too aggressive I'm sure they'll tune it down- like possibly Firebloom, especially considering only 50% of the server can even turn this in to begin with. Thoughts?

    Ironfoe, How Good?

Thanks for re-linking info. IF would be 7 weapon skill lower than any swords (as human with Edgemaster's, which I am), I think I will just try to get Rend weapons asap and replace MH with Vis'kag.

    Ironfoe, How Good?

With all due respect I've read numerous threads and there is massive amounts of conflicting responses and answers Thanks for the input!

    Ironfoe, How Good?

Incorrect link? As human with Edgemaster's and considering the 5% proc rate on Ironfoe is this even worth getting? Should I just get Viskag+Brutality Blade until CTS and others become available? Hell is Krol blade even on par due to the huge decrease in glancing dmg?

    Ironfoe, How Good?

I've read a ton of conflicting information regarding Ironfoe and how good it actual is on the Elysium servers. I haven't been able to get one myself yet (although not for lack of trying), and wanted to know if there's any new test data or info that is trustworthy over some other posts. Things I'm specifically interested in are: 1. Actual Proc rate now- 3%, 5%, 10%, something else? 2. Does it still work on abilities or just autos? As a human with edgemaster's I think that this weapon may not be worth the grind anymore as numerous 50+ DPS raid weapons will outpace it if it just works on auto's. (My opinion) Thanks!
