Finally an issue that Reign and Scuba can agree on

Community Poll in consideration of the Ahn'Qiraj Opening Event Redux

Not our gm either but I think that's a pretty unfair portrayal of how things went. Of course we were against a change in the timing that would totally eliminate us from having any chance. The proposed solution wouldn't screw over anyone that is currently in the race so my reaction at least is to say it seems like a fair idea. Will we strongly advocate for the change? I doubt it, we aren't effected either way. We'll be ready go no matter what. The initial uproar was based on the idea that the race was staying intact but that the start time of the final leg was being moved to the middle of the NA workday with no warning ahead of time to change our plans accordingly, that's the long and short of it. Again, they can choose to keep it the same or change it, idgaf. -
Wow! I wonder how many buffs were lost. Especially since they didn't buff last week :) edit: looking forward to another fight on Thursday but we both know you'll need scuba to hold your hand again.

I just don't understand why at the very least there was no announcement yesterday saying "hey sorry this is going to be later than planned for x reason." I mean yea people would be upset but this approach makes it feel like they're just hoping we aren't going to notice or something. Stupid.

At the risk of sounding like a troll, have these guys gotten anything right? I am really struggling to think of a time that they acted in accord with community expectations in a timely manner. Instead it's just been a string of late, poorly handled updates. I try to be optimistic (remained on L4G even as it's peak pop dipped below 800) but I am starting to seriously question why I am placing faith in these devs. Seriously, someone give me a reason to hope.

I agree with most of what Slicy said, but am I wrong in thinking that autocompletion *is* blizzlike?

There may be some validity to some of the bans that were handed out, but I am having an extremely hard time believing that all were warranted. I am an NA player who has only had the pleasure of playing with Hellopippo on a few occasions and have only played a total of 3 games with the premade that he was actively leading (composed largely of Chinese players.) I can say from my numerous experiences with pippo that he does not fit the profile of a wintrader. He actively coordinates with NA and EU players to set bracket caps so that the grind is attainable for everyone. When I played with him and his premade I was impressed by the skill of their players and never had any inkling of shadiness. That said, my experiences are few so I do not want to unilaterally denounce all of the bans. I made this account however to raise 2 points for consideration: 1) two or the bans handed out were to players (kanrabat and gunzbzngbzng (sp?)) that simply do not belong in this cohort. I have played with both of these players on occasion, but not frequently because NEITHER IS ACTIVELY RANKING OR GRINDING HONOR. There bans seem to be purely based on the fact that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Above all else, this should be a red flag to the community because to me it signals that this was an incomplete and hastily conducted investigation. These bans have a serious effect on individuals and the pvp community and I would hate to think that the elysium stuff would take such heavy handed action without being certain that they were in fact acting justly. In the current circumstance I simply cannot believe this was the case. 2) There is a significant amount of paranoia and distrust within the pvp community that stem from confusion around these bans and what if any evidence was present. In a similar vein to numerous other scandals, this community deserves more transparency regarding why these actions were taken. -Coppadonna, R9 scrub for life
