I was actually thinking of doing this. I have a laptop that the husband refurbed for me to use when we're away (for email or what not). I'm totally putting wow on it. It's window 8, but it only has a 500 gig drive. Should be ok.

could be, not sure. Earlier my friend had some difficulties getting in. Then I logged out a little while ago, and haven't been able to get back in. Also I sent a password reset, which hasn't arrived yet. (at least 20 mins ago). Edit: so it finally came, not sure if it's the servers or something weird with gmail.

that's pretty much how I felt too. I quit right after the new models were added, I didn't get legion. I just wasn't interested. There *are* some things I like about retail that we don't have in vanilla, mostly little things. Like eating while shapeshifted, or using faeryfire while shapeshifted or switching between forms without having to be humaniod first.

same here too. You're not alone. I kinda freaked out because I saw there were some hacked accts and went and changed my password (even though I do have the 2 step auth).

Hopefully later today they'll get it sorted out. After I exited the 'loading screen of doom', I'm back to 'retrieving character list'.

ditto. I'm stuck in a loading screen from the character list. =(

First it took the last 30 mins of trying to log in being stuck at Authenticating, then being disconnected. (I was worried even though I have the two step authentication because of several post threads regarding hacked accts, so I went and changed my password.) And now I'm stuck at Retrieving Character List. I'm guessing there are issues with the fix?
