So I believe this might be a bug, I'm actually not completely sure about it though. I've been killing a lot of the Cresting Exiles in the Arathi Highlands for the Whirlwind Weapon quest drops. Killing htem I realised that I only took like 4 dmg per hit on my lvl 39 mage, because I had Dampen Magic up. I don't actually know wheter that is ment to work like this or not. (looks like the Cresting Exile's attack is magical(?) and is thereby reduced from something like 44 to 4)
