Server showing online with 0 population ...cant connect anyone else having trouble

i get as far as connected , but no character list appears

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the only way to get hacked is to give out your password? i seem to remember back in the day of retail vanilla loads of fake emails asking for it pretending to be from blizzard. So is that what the hackers are doing here or are they actually hacking databases and getting the info that way?

i havent been able to login for the last 3 days .... i just managed to log in 20 mins ago and now im out again and cant get to the character list :((

Strange , but on the realm status for me it either displays that its offline or Online and 7382 players .... always 7382 been checking this now for approx 4 hours at 20 min intervals

I've been having the same trouble since last night , says I'm connected but won't retrieve the character list even though the realm status is showing online and 7k + players online, Are the DDoS attacks able to only affect certain players?
