I'm not tech smart about programming or coding and all that crap, what i really can't wrap my head around is why these people trying to make money off of selling gold in your server are instead spending thousands attacking your server. For the normal person, spite isn't enough to burn loads of cash to be a nuisance to a group's project all just because they don't let you make money off of exploiting your server and the ruining the in-game economy and over-all experience to those who play and enjoy the project. I guess it's because there really are people out there who can only get their kicks out of finding something that gives people enjoyment and ruining it for them. Honestly after today and how pathetically relentless the DDoS attackers were for hours and hours on end, I agree with you guys fully that it's not fair to blame you guys for not being able to combat those assholes all of the time. Whoever is doing all of this massive faggotry, trying to ruin an awesome project you guys all devote yourselves to, is seriously just scum of the earth and the Elysium crew totally deserves mad props for fighting through their bullshit and keeping your servers up as much as you can.

I want to start donating to Elysium so they can make some much needed improvements to the server but when I hardly see any effort being made to combat a small band of angry, stubborn hackers who are mad they got banned or can't sell gold to lazy scrubs I can only assume anything i donate is a waste of money. If you really cannot manage to keep intruders and hackers out of your server I can only imagine how mediocre the Elysium crew is at maintaining their server and keeping it well protected. Like come the fuck on? Invest in your players so they will want to invest in you.

So this whole thing with Elysium realm going down and none of the others has happened at least 10 times in the past 5 hours and it's honestly getting f*cking rediculous, like honestly how hard is it to keep one f*cking realm up?

gold is really not that hard to make, my highest toon is a 41 warlock so far and I can make up to 50g a day depending on what I'm doing to make it. Farm cloth/greens and sell disenchanted reagents: 10-25g per day and you still get to quest and train depending if you are farming smart and killing the right stuff. Buy and Sell on AH: if you're good with money and watching the market for hot selling items 30-500g per day, just got to have a little start up cash to get the buying/selling started. So theres no excuses, the opportunities are there, people who make excuses to take stupid shortcuts that hurts the entire game at the same time are just too lazy but also too proud to admit how lazy they are ( or how bad they are at farming gold and just WoW in general )

that exact kind of defense is the same you hear from rapist apologists, trying to defend the scumbags doing the raping or trying to blame to victim for getting raped so the attacker doesn't receive the consequences they deserve. I realize rape is much more serious offense, obviously, however the argument you are trying to make it the exact same as that I've just described.

Those people running the gold selling websites are effectively ruining the game for everyone else in more ways than one. I completely agree that it should be a no tolerance issue.

Does this really happen for everyone on the Elysium realm as often as it does for me? It happened again just now, it seems as if it's occurring more frequently lately, disconnecting and being unable to log back into the game server on only the Elysium realm while anathema and all the other realms are still accessible. I never see any in-game notifications about the problem at the times it affects me once I'm able to connect to the server again, even when I'm repeatedly attempting to connect until it actually goes through and I can log into one of my two main characters. On top of all that, I'll ask in general/trade chat and my guild if anyone else had just experienced the same issue and while some do describe an issue they have similar to mine, it's not something that seems to happen to them all at the same times it happens to me. If this really is something that is affecting the whole realm and it's not just my client randomly disconnecting from the Elysium realm for some obscure reason then I'd appreciate very much if you or anyone else reading this could give me a link to a thread on this forum or any others that can offer some explanation as to why there are these seemingly random periods throughout the day that make me unable connect to the Elysium realm while all the others are still completely accessible.

For some reason, a few times a day, I will randomly disconnect and get sent back to the login screen then when i log back in I cannot connect to the elysium realm where i have my main toons however all the other realms I have no issue getting to my character list and logging in. I don't know why it's only the Elysium realm I cannot connect to and I cannot find any correlation as to why it only happens some of the time and what happens when it randomly starts working again, whether it was my doing or not. It don't think anything I'm doing is affecting when i can or cannot connect to Elysium realm because I'm not editing any files at all, I'll just keep attempting to login and usually switching from anathema realm to elysium to try and get it to connect to elysium while having no issue connecting to anathema. Any input to what I could do to fix this would be appreciated because it does not seem to be related to any actual issue with the Elysium private server but with my client itself.
