  1. Simply put, I and (probably) the majority of the player base would appreciate a grace period similar to what Nostalrius did. I was told by multiple GMs that the team has no real intention to deviate from what Nostalrius. I understand and accept that this sort of communication is by no means a guarantee of what to expect. I would like to point out that whatever the project decides to do, I respect the decision; however, if the decision is to prevent players from having access to old mounts via a grace period, it would have been necessary to at least give us some warning. I wouldn't feel inclined to make a (complaint?) post if we had 1 week or more notice to finish our reputations "the hard way". In short, please reconsider enabling the purchase of old mounts for a limited period of time.

  4. my in-game name is Storslamm. ? Who even are you? rofl
  5. ya, except, there was a long stretch of time I was intimately controlling where we farmed the mafia on nost. but, back and forth, the cartel would be farmed as well. point is, neither of them were necessarily supreme. both would win & lose often. here, I (we) have never lost a world PvP encounter and we never will. just to provide you some context on this 13 year old game since you seem to be oblivious still, vanilla is a numbers game. the fact that I employ a certain percentage of PvE-oriented farmers shouldn't suggest to you that it's any level of weak. i suggest you think about what you've said and remember to vote for Hillary in the upcoming election.
  6. Sorry. I am not trying to be hurtful but I just didn't see you as a threat of any kind.
  7. I do not avoid PvP and I don't think the average member avoids PvP. I was kind of trolling you before and just figured you would get the joke but it went over your head I guess.
  8. that was so fast quick on the trigger XD
  9. who are u? my ingame name is Storslamm and I will duel u any time lol
  10. The longevity of the mafia is what it is. As more and more people are getting theoretically capped, the hype will continue to decline to a certain threshold. I am being as objective as possible when I say I appreciate your world PvP efforts because it's what I've been wanting for a while. A competing organization gives our rankers something to do besides create more characters. When I decided to remove you this was sort of the intention but I had hoped you would be a little classier about it. Either way, I am having fun.
  11. The health of my organization isn't proportional to the amount of lockdown that we provide in the crater. I think you are making that connection and it is false. Most people who are playing with me are doing it because they genuinely enjoy my company and because I provide a mutually beneficial way for us to spend game time with each other. Like I said it is insignificant that you can come down at any random time of the day and grab a few leathers. Anyone on the server can accomplish this. I don't expect nor do I support staffing people in the crater long enough to prevent 0 leathers from leaking. It's just an interesting side project to aim for.
  12. I'll just accept that you're ignoring the flow of the conversation to attack me from a different angle. The truth is anyone can get leather whenever they want. The significance of my situation however is that I can decide when that happens. If you are farming and I don't want you to farm I can prevent you from farming. Again I think you are missing the point. Having complete lockdown is not possible in the long term but being able to prevent people from farming whenever I want is a certain power you will never see.
  13. I am aware of possible solutions to properly control devilsaur prices indefinitely. But what it comes down to is I don't play that much and I definitely don't care enough to make it a reality. The reasoning behind this is again I simply don't care about the declination of the prices. In the end it doesn't change what we have been able to accomplish and certainly doesn't eliminate the friendships that I have made. Since you are so interested in poor decisions I would like to discuss your involvement in all of this. You joined the mafia as a farmer and it was mutually beneficial until you decided to kite an innkeeper to fire plume ridge at server peak time. At this point I decided to remove you from the organization and you have been making futile attempts to sabotage what I have created. That is the objective reality of the situation.
  14. You realize I haven't posted anything related to pricing in like a month? I ignore messages concerning pricing in general. Please check some of your logs for this lol
  15. If that's what you want to believe I suppose I can't convince you otherwise.
  16. It appears as though you have a fundamental misunderstanding of my efforts. At the beginning of the server, leather price was my prime directive. There was an insane amount of demand for the server but very little supply. My group and I were able to farm uncontested for a long time in order to accumulate a great amount of wealth. But I wanted to expand as part of a "let's see how far I can take this" sort of project. I opened the doors to more casual players and created a sort of business model out of it. You can imagine how much leather we had after having farmed hundreds of it every single day. Obviously the price is going to go down when the supply significantly surpasses the demand. The exact same thing happened on Nostalrius but it was much, much later in the server. At this point I ultimately stopped caring about enforcing the price because it was impossible to police and altogether too taxing. This is what I mean by "it would have gone down anyway"; it's just the nature of having so much of a product. The thing you seem to be missing out on, though, is that as soon as the supply surpassed the demand, my focus wasn't on leather at all anymore. I have a lot of friends. I can get a full raid anywhere instantly. This has happened several times. The mafia isn't directly a leather farming organization at all. It's a (mostly) tight-knit group of PvPers with a side focus on dedicated farmers. To expect the price of leather to remain static over a long period of time is insane. I am writing this to explain to you that what you are feeling is wrong. We have already won the server. So many of our veterans have thousands upon thousands of gold and are willing to help each other even under the most random incentive.
  17. You guys basically have two active options. Form a cartel like people did on Nostalrius and fight for what you want, providing hundreds of people with constant world PvP that is enjoyable by everyone, or just sit on the forums/reddit linking random snippets from Discord thinking that it's accomplishing anything. Regardless, it seems you are choosing the less interesting of the two options. Enjoy the illusion that your commitment is valuable.
  18. I appreciate that you all think that banding together & collecting screenshots is accomplishing anything. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here with 4,000 leather across my characters and an undefeated W/L ratio in competitive PvP. Tell me, do you think there's a connection between the way you guys are dealing with your problems & the fact that you're on the very bottom of both PvE & PVP? Grow up and play the game. =)
