Trust me, if the lower tier resources gave the same rewards as the ones you mentioned, people would turn then in right away. I turned in 1200 runecloth because it wasnt a complete ripoff. I wont turn in any of the ones that are a complete ripoff.

Scaling it was fine, as long as the rewards are useful. Why do 20 copper bars only grant 1 mark while 20 runecloth grant 10 marks? Why do 20 runecloth grant a high level war chest, while 20 copper bars only give you lvl 15 greens? Increase the amount of marks and the quality of the war chests you get for these materials to be on par and youll see how quickly people start donating those things in. Im pretty sure you didnt even know that these materials dont grant the same amount of rewards, because guess what, you probably didnt donate anything so far. But atleast youre on the forums talking shit out of your ass.

Thats the first sensible thing you said. People wont turn it in if there is no point in doing so. Ill rather delete those materials than donate them so a prick like you can get into AQ sooner than he should. In fact that was exactly my intention. To give a perspective why people like me arent turning the materials in. If you had read my post properly before talking out of your ass you wouldve understood that right away instead of imaginining things that arent there.

Wtf are you even rambling on about? I have no interest in participating in the quest to get the mount. There is no way a regular joe like me will ever get that mount so whats the point of even trying. In fact you are the one that thinks youre way smarter than you are. Youre trying to read things into something that simply arent there. People dont contribute because there is no benefit in doing so. It has nothing to do with a questline that only a handful of people are even going to participate in. You want AQ to open now? Go farm the stuff and donate it. Or pay me the equivalent of what the materials i am holding are worth and ill donate it. Either way, stop being a prick.

No problem mate you can pay me and ill turn them in. Deal? Its going to be released whether i turn in or not, so your second point is kinda meh. A quick count of all my mats and some rough calculation tells me my mats are worth about 1500g in total. Why would i donate 1500g just so that a flaming ungrateful douche like you can get into AQ?

I have more than enough gold. Over 6k to be exact. There is no point for me to log in and turn my materials in. If you want AQ out so quick go farm the stuff and turn it in yourself. Or you can stop being a hypocrite :)

So at that point why dont you just remove the war effort entirely?

I am one of those people sitting on 3000 copper bars (and a bunch of other materials for that matter). You wanna know why im not turning them in? Because the expected value from turning them in is a lot less than the expected value from selling them on the AH. The war effort rewards are simply garbage for some of the items required, so there is absolutely no incentive for me to turn my materials in. The rugged leather rewards were fine. The runecloth rewards are fine. Whatever has decent rewards, people turn in. Everything that has crappy rewards people dont turn in. There is no secret agenda of guilds hoarding stuff. The only thing that matters is the expected return of turning material X in. If that expected return is too low, people wont turn in. This isnt black magic. Its logic. There is no incentive for me to turn my materials in if i dont have a personal benefit from it. Getting access to AQ is not a personal benefit. Everyone is gonna have access to it at some point, whether i donate or not doesnt matter. So if you want people to donate stuff, re-evaluate the reward/donation. Or dont and keep looking at 3% copper bars donated.
