I think more people were dissuaded not by the cap on the mounts but by the amount of farming required. As previously mentioned only 10 people are actually going to end up with the mount because the amount of farming and PvP occurring not many guilds could get into the hives and farm. =

Most of those people voting are probably in the guilds that actually put in the time to grind 40+hours to get the rep and other things needed to complete the chain, so if anything those guys should be able to say what they want

You are right but I would rather not see some dudes get fucked out of a mount. But maybe that is just because I sympathize with people who put the work in and come up short.

The 10 hour window for everyone to turn in sounds like a better idea. That way it does not ruin those guilds who spent 40+ hours farming to just get beat by a top raid guild who cleared faster

Do not change it at all. This server has been waiting wayyyy too long for AQ to come out and the community wants it to come out asap... (edit) would like to note that everyone has known this was going to come out this way for more then a week now so for gm's to finally say something is kind of sneaky
