  1. bump Refer to the post above mine. As you yourself said, "get rekt". There is literally zero argument against updating the PvP gear in either 1.6 or 1.7 unless perhaps you WANT Ely and Zeth to be completely dead outside raid nights because every guild bank already has enough mongoose/GFPP farmed to last for centuries and no one can be bothered to PvP. >the upgraded PvP gear is BETTER than BWL gear in [..] pvp [...] uh, no shit? That's how it should be. I for one think it's kinda ridiculous that r13 warriors are currently opting for t1 over r13 setpieces. T1 gets updated stats in 1.5 that will also make it better in most cases than pre-update T2(and leagues better than the current pvp gear) which in actual retail didn't get updated til like 1.9. I notice no one has a problem with updated T2 in 1.6, though. The only arguments in this thread are from salty PVE SB who are upset that people want the PvP gear that takes MONTHS of 10+ hour days to attain to be on par with their precious T2 that you can max out in 8/8 after a month of raidlogging two or three hours a week.

Alt-cast self cast for all spells

You can rebind <self cast action bar x slot y> to whatever key combination you want in the keybindings menu.

    Macro assistance

I'm looking for macros to do the following (I do have supermacro): -show mind flay tooltip, cast mind flay if mind flay is castable; else cast smite (eg if shadow school is locked out by an interrupt effect). I have this partially working as simply /cast mind flay /cast smite but supermacro shows the smite tooltip instead of mind flay. -cast mind control if target is a humanoid npc or a player; cast shackle undead if target is an undead npc -cast mana burn if target has a mana bar; else cast smite -a command approximately equal in function to /castsequence from later expacs Also post any general useful macros in this thread. Thanks for reading. Some useful ones I use: Mouseover dispel: /script if UnitExists("mouseover") then TargetUnit("mouseover"); CastSpellByName("Dispel Magic(Rank 2)"); TargetUnit("playertarget") else CastSpellByName("Dispel Magic(Rank 2)") end You can also do this with other spells, eg silence. Just replace "Dispel Magic(rank 2)" with the desired spell. Pressing this keybind will attempt to cast dispel on whatever unit your mouse cursor is hovering over. If you have a target and your mouse isn't hovering over anything, it will instead attempt to cast dispel on the target. If you have a target and a mouseover, it will attempt to cast on your mouseover. You must disable auto self cast for this to fully work. Cast power infusion, send a tell to the target notifying them: /cast Power Infusion /run if UnitExists"target"then SendChatMessage("<insert tell message here>","WHISPER",nil,UnitName"target")end Careful not to mash this button because you'll spam the person with whispers. Fun fact: if you use this while targeting an enemy player the error message returned is "You can only whisper to members of your faction". The devs really do think of everything. Stop current spellcast, cast silence: /script SpellStopCasting() /cast Silence Self explanatory, mainly useful in PvP. If you are inside a GCD your spell will stop casting but you will still not be able to cast silence until the GCD is over, requiring you to press the keybind a second time once the GCD is up. Otherwise it only takes one press.
  6. Only a small percent will go past r10 or r11, as it's always been, but many more will go to, say, r7 for the gloves/boots 2 piece. This will lead to an overall increase in PvP participation.
  7. It seems you are correct, it was updated on nost in ZG patch, not BWL. Which imo is an acceptable compromise as well. Updating it RIGHT when BWL releases would give ex-rankers a slight advantage in initial BWL progression, in that they'd already have BWL-equivalent(roughly) gear going into BWL. I can see how that would be a problem. Give everyone the chance to do BWL for a month or two and get their shit and then update the PvP gear. I find that acceptable also, just don't wait until AQ or god forbid 1.11 after people have already been raidlogging for 9 months and there's 50 people online per side outside raid nights. Just quash that problem before it even starts, if you want to maintain a healthy server pop. To the other guy: We are already on a custom timeline, changes have been made to the original Blizzard timeline to create a "custom vanilla" which stays true to the spirit of vanilla while making a few custom changes for accessibility's sake. "Muh timeline" is not an argument, unless you also advocate for removing the PVP honor system until 1.4, unlinking the faction auction houses, etc. Maybe we should also bring back the craptastic 1.4 warrior talents, or make Inner Fire into an AP buff again?
  8. Me: "I think we should change the timeline!" You: "bUT it's dont say on timeline when 2 change timeline? haha r u dum my friend??????" Get out of my thread and go back to kindergarten until you've learned how to read, Kevin.

  10. You addressed nothing and covered exactly 0 of the arguments that have been presented earlier in this thread. You: U SUCK NOST WAS BIG ALSO MEMES Me: ??? The people who want this are the actual PvPers, ie the people who keep a server alive. The "overpowered PvP gear in PvE" point is a complete non argument, because 1. Most of the r13 pieces are on par or only slight upgrades/downgrades from individual T2 pieces. 2. Hunters, who arguably gain the most from the updated R13/R10 set vs T2, are shit dps anyway. I'm sorry, but it's true. People doing 2% more dps than they ordinarily would in content that's been on farm for 13 years isn't going to kill the server. What will kill the server is BWL releasing and everyone becoming raidloggers once the PvP gear is absolutely outclassed by PvE gear. Also my name is a pun on 救急車. You are a swine and I am casting pearls at you, now begone.

    Ice/fire/shadow reflectors removed?

It should not reflect AoE spells but it should make you immune to them, afaik, but it doesn't. Also they are added in a later patch, I think 1.5 or 1.6.
  12. This is 1.3, we're not allowed to have nice things :^). /majires starts here I think the only Gyth hat in game atm is the leather one, for some reason.
  13. On a server with about half the pop of nost, you'd expect brackets to be about half the size. They are not. They are much smaller, they are having similar problems as we're having on Zeth despite having a much bigger population. Why do you think that is? Because most people CBA to queue for so long for dungeon blues. And the server is -not- mostly blizzlike, unless you're suggesting that we remove the PvP honor system entirely until 1.4, as well as removing the battlemasters, AB, etc. I'd appreciate if you'd read the entire thread before giving your opinion but I guess that's too much to ask these days.

I like how you say I'm pulling a trump and then your entire post is basically Premades, organized honor farming, agreed-upon honor brackets, etc something that never happened in retail? LOL. >I mean where we can do 5-10 bg's a week and actually enjoy it. So you want to burn down the entire system to cater to people who play for an hour a week? You realize that's exactly the attitude that ruined retail, right? Incentivize people to queue casually and they will do so. More casual queuers = higher chance of pug vs pug. If people playing together as an organized group to achieve a shared goal(winning a BG, in this case) makes you upset you are playing the wrong game and possibly the wrong genre, dude. Yeah, losing to a team that's better organized and better prepared is frustrating, I say this as someone who solo queued to r10 and exalted AB/AV rep on Anathema, but if there is anything worth having in this game then there will always be people working together in a group to get it. That's it, end of discussion, PvP rank is not a special snowflake in that regard. Incentivize people to queue casually and they will do so. More people in queue = lower chance for pugs to meet premades. Nostalrius always had plenty of pug vs pug because there were always people queueing casually wanting their 2/6 r7 gear or access to cheap potions or whatever else. You can continue to pretend that casual queuers are some kind of Buddhist ascetics who care not for the material rewards and only need the spiritual reward of a game well played or whatever the hell your argument is, but I tell you this: it's don't.
  15. Exactly, some of the updated r13 pieces compared to BWL loot are on par or superior, most are sidegrades. No one is going to grind rank for 4 months to do (at best) like 2% more dps on BWL. The people who will do that are the "dedicated PvPers". The only thing updating will do is give people more incentive to queue and thus expand the brackets.
  16. Your original post: >You're simply wrong there friend. None of the reputation gear is better than blackwing lair items. Me: *links several reputation items that are better than BWL items* move goalposts harder plz
  17. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=22747 http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16915 (technically an MC item but I said "T2 pieces" not "BWL items" http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=20194 http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16832 http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=20068 http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=19398 And so on. Lei of the Lifegiver and Don Julio's from AV are literally irreplaceable for several classes. I also notice you have zero problem with "OP PvE gear in PvP". Why aren't you complaining about 1.10 BRE in 1.3, or the fact that t2.5 + DEOI is better than r14 for a warrior?
  18. The reputation rewards aren't even in game either. And once they are finally added, most of it is also better or on par with T2 pieces, lol. So why not wait til Naxx to release the rep gear if you're worried about "OP PvP gear in PvE"?
  19. Elysium will die without PvP. PvP will die without people actually having an incentive to queue. Thanks for proving my point. Lol? Dedicated PvPers are still PvPing and forming premades right now. They are basically the only ones doing so. They are the ones who PvP for the fun of it and don't care that the gear is shit. Pugging basically means fighting premades in 9/10 games right now, there are stretches of 12+ hours at a time on Zeth where literally the only alliance in the queue are the premade. Horde pugs are guaranteed to fight a premade during those hours because the premade has the only people who can be bothered queueing. At any rate, anti-premade whining by S-key clicker warlocks is not what this thread is about.
  20. How is it overpowered when it's literally on par with BWL gear and I'm suggesting to update it with the BWL release? How is having the PvP honor system which should not even be in game until 1.4 not overpowered?
  21. I agree, Blizzlike is best. That's why we should remove the PvP honor system entirely until 1.4, remove AB until after AV release, and remove the battlemasters. Everyone should queue from the portal in Ashenvale like they had to for most of live vanilla. Oh, and don't forget to un-link the faction auction houses. If you wanna see all the listings you can hop your happy ass on the zeppelin to make sure no one listed the item you're looking for from UC. That is blizzlike. Also BWL is not "early PvE content".
  22. BGs on Kronos are dead because Kronos itself is dead, lol. Not an argument. Take a look at old Nost which had a hugely vibrant PvP scene with plenty of casual rankers, because the gear was updated in 1.6. I'm sorry but if your entire PvP experience is queueing one BG a week and then crying on the forum about it for the rest of eternity when you lose, you are not the PvP community. You are not the target of the "hey PvP community please give us your opinions" thread. You are an afterthought. Deal with it.
  23. More like: "Make PvP gear actually worth getting so that casual PvPers can queue and meet someone besides dedicated PvPers (ie, the people most likely to form premades and to not care that the current PvP gear is shit)" The current mage chest/head doesn't even have spellpower. 0mp5 on the entire priest set. It's just lol.
  24. You seem needlessly upset. What's the deal with 59 IQ shitters coming into my threads and immediately spewing vitriol everywhere? I'm not insulting people who disagree with me, I'm insulting people who've insulted me first. Is no one here capable of a calm and rational discussion? >you chose to switch to that server and now want everything changed? I switched because Anathema is a fossil and playing there is worthless. Want *everything* changed, no, I just want the PvP gear changed to be the same way it's been on literally every private server since the beginning of time. The weapons were already updated in the same patch because at that point Blizz realized that the gear people had spent months grinding for was being made obsolete by items that drop from fucking Razorgore and the 3 copypaste drakes. But they didn't go far enough with it, the armor needs to be updated too. >P.S. Not our fault you chose the easiest pve class in the game to raid with What? I play priest. I haven't played on Anathema since February. Even if I still played my mage, literally what does that have to do with anything? Pressing the right buttons in the right order has never been the main challenge of raiding. Also I already have the updated PvP gear on my mage there. That's what I meant by "the problem is not mine personally". If all I wanted was to have some nice PvP gear for myself I'd just go back and raidlog on Anathema. I want to see PvP revitalized on Ely and Zeth. That is the purpose of this suggestion. >and I'm sure you are not worth anything in a raid to begin with. Nice projection. I have no idea who you are in game, but let me guess. Judging by your unwarranted self importance, baseless aggression, and poor reading comprehension, you play a male Orc fury warrior, right?

And you refuse to address the solutions offered and instead suggest to burn down the whole stadium because your group of ladm8s can't win against AC Milan. Done with cryers, if you don't like playing in your premade so much, no one is forcing you to. I bet you won't, though, because all your rhetoric about fair play and sportsmanship is just that. Rhetoric. Absolutely smalltime. Even at its deadest, Kronos I still had a more active PvP scene than zeth, including frequent pug vs pug games. Know why? Because the updated pvp gear was released and casual rankers who only wanted r7 or r8 actually had a reason to join. The reason pugs get stomped is because only dedicated PvPers are PvPing right now, and dedicated PvPers tend to form premades. Give people a reason to queue casually and brackets will expand, pug vs pug games will become more common. The other option is to cater to the people who play for an hour a day, queue one game, lose, assume it must have been a premade because NO ONE COULD WIN AGAINST A DEDICATED PVPER SUCH AS MYSELF and then come to cry about it on the forum. There are problems with PvP right now but "people play together in an organized group and win" is NOT one of them. The most successful players are the ones that work together toward a shared goal. It's frustrating to lose to them but it shouldn't come as a surprise unless you're a Legion baby who needs everything handed to them for playing solo. End of discussion.
