I'm a native English speaker and sometimes I write in Chinese just so mongos like OP will stop talking to me. I've had plenty of great experiences with Chinese players, I can think of a few that I'd call good friends even though neither their English nor my Chinese are very good, I ranked with these guys and played 20 hour days with them, I'd trust them at my back before I'd trust 90% of laowai. Yet for some reason every vehement anti-Chinese I've encountered in /bg has been a mouth breathing 79 IQ idiot who gets triggered at the mere sight of a Chinese name and spends the entire match spamming /bg chat with irrelevant shit, ironically being a bigger detriment to our team than any one Chinese guy playing with 300 ping could ever be.

I dunno about you but I'm waiting warmly for the TBC realm so I can actually play shadow and not be a waste of a spot. I spend 5 GCDs getting shadow weaving up and it immediately gets cucked off by something dumb like immolate (this actually happened). And it only gets marginally better in 1.7. Til then I'll just keep flash heal bound to middle mouse and play cookie clicker on my raid frames while not having to worry about debuffs or any of that shit.

Elysium may as well be a PvE server, it's obvious that both the staff and most of the playerbase hate PvP and just want to log on for an hour a week and kill their dragons, scurrying to the instance portal like wet rats in order to protect their precious buffs. It's frankly sickening, never before have I played on a server with such a garbage PvP environment. Devs, you say you want active PvP? Prove it. Give people a reason to actually go out and rank. Other people can pretend to be some kind of enlightened ascetics who need no rewards from PvP except the spiritual reward of a game well played but for the vast majority of PvPers, the reason for ranking is to get the rank gear. If there's no point in getting the gear, then there's no point in ranking, then there's no point for the most active portion of the playerbase to play aside from joining the raidlog train.

I was recently banned on accident along with a handful of other accounts. I made my appeal and went through the proper channels and it took me 3 days to finally get some attention and get unbanned, when I committed zero offense and have always played within the rules. Why are people who knowingly exploit bugs and break the rules getting off with lighter punishments than people who literally did nothing wrong?

Wow, the 2 piece upgraded blue set (which gets updated in naxx) is better than items that come before AQ? Btw the current 2piece blue set bonus is 1% parry. If you want the 40 attack power bonus then it's 6/6 r13.

There have been multiple posts to that effect on the suggestions forum, thank you, and the only staff response we've ever gotten was to lock the thread after 200 replies and 2.5k views with a generic "we'll look into it, thanks". That's why you make ranking completely pointless, to encourage people to pvp more? Right now the pre-update r13 sets are worse than BWL gear. In AQ, when the update is scheduled for, the post-update r13 sets are still worse than T2.5. So why should anyone bother ranking at all, ever, when at every single point on the timeline, better gear can be gotten from PvE for a vastly smaller time investment?

It's like people forget about the "RP" part of MMORPG and just think it's a MOBA. Can you honestly say you don't get attached to your character after literally thousands of hours /played? Your character is "you", it's your identity, and I for one would like to keep playing the same character up through whatever content tiers are released.

Yeah it's garbage. Protip for the devs, by the time AQ releases everyone can just get T2.5 which is better than almost every updated rank 13 set anyway, and BWL gear is already better than most pre-buff r13. That means there's literally 0 point in ranking on this server, ever, unless all you want is a fancy mount or unless you're a warrior who's going all the way to 14 (the weapons already updated in 1.6 btw). I've stopped at rank 12 because the orange fedora from Stratholme is unironically better than my r13 headpiece, it's completely stupid.

What fixed it was relogging, not disabling your addons. It's been happening for the past few weeks to priests of all specs* using various addons or none at all. I encourage you to submit any information you have to the bug report at https://github.com/elysium-project/server/issues/1758 *I specifically point this out because I first discovered the bug while playing shadow and thought that PWS had mistakenly been reclassed as a holy spell or something. But it's not so, I've since respecced disc/holy and had the same bug, and heard of the same bug happening to other holy priests.

I for one would be 100% willing to accept a gear downgrade/deletion in order to be able to transfer my Anathema characters to Elysium. Items rewarded from quests (eg zandalarian hero charm) could just be deactivated until the proper patch, pvp blues could be downgraded to their lvl 58 versions, etc. Anathema has been a dead meme for months, it's time to officially make it so imo. Edit: I say this as someone who played Nostalrius since day 1 launch day. It's time to move on, if you love something let it go~
