Timeline progression is too fast!
Aurigon replied to orwell's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Judging by today's announcement, it would seem this poll and the will of the majority of players here are going to be disregarded by the admins, and Nighthaven will remain a fast-paced progression realm. Oh well. -
Timeline progression is too fast!

Well after the poll has been there for nearly 3 months now, I seriously doubt anyone can expect the results to be reverted. 1) It's a poll, it's supposed to provide an insight to the general thoughts, not to poll each and every active player (that's never gonna happen anyway). 2) The most voted option has nearly twice the votes of the second one and it's been like this since the beginning, it's not like they're few .1%s apart... so the final picture is clear and not gonna change, regardless of how much more time you're gonna give it. 3) The longer you stick to the original timeline, the more you're disregarding THAT result. Stratholme was very short lived, if memory serves me well it didn't last longer than a month back in November (it was shut down in the early days of December 2017). Nighthaven is the only available realm from this project. -

So, the result from the poll is clear... have they come to a final decision in the end? -

Timeline progression is too fast!

Imho, having a customizable XP rate of 2x over a 2 year, classic timeline, OR halved progression span entirely at 1x, is pretty much the same thing. It stinks of custom, fun crap any way you look at it. It's true they did announce Nighthaven as a fast progressing realm, yet this change of route is clearly being evaluated in the prospect of appealing to more casual players (that is everyone who has a life/family/full time job, that is most old time Vanilla veterans). On top of that, Vanilla had a span of 2 years, and that is a major part of what makes a serious BLIZZLIKE Vanilla realm, to me at least. A realm that's advertised as blizzlike AND fast progression, is a contradiction. They are going to fix that now, hopefully. Sure, this change would turn away a few nolif... err, RMTers... err, "players" who already were BiS a week after launch. But it would also make others (many more in fact, according to me) join the fun, increasing the realm numbers. It perfectly makes sense, from both a strategical standpoint and in a long-term perspective. +1 for slower (2-year) progression. -
With yesterday's hosted Molten Core PuG we managed to clear 3/10 of it (had to stop due to preset time expired). Our Main Tank, on his very first raid EVER, was able to obtain the first Bindings of the Windseeker. Now that is what you call being a predestined... The raid will continue next monday, at the same time: 7:00 PM (ST); Information about our raid progression and weekly raid schedule updated under the FAQ within the original post.

Yesterday's late afternoon/early evening we established our new online record since our move to Elysium, with 101 guildies online at the same time, beating our previous record of 96 from just two days ago; Later today we are hosting our very first Molten Core PuG, at 7:00 PM (ST). Loot system: MS > OS. All those willing to participate are welcome to show up in time and whisper Hoskar for invite; To all my italian brethren out there: with currently 20 active italian players in total we are pretty much the largest italian community within the Alliance, feel free to whisper myself (Moradinn) or any of my officers (Thranix, Rorszhach, Hardcorelife or Portya) if you would like to be added.

Come disse Andrea Bocelli... vedremo.

During yesterday's evening, our guild managed to establish a new online record since we moved in here, last March: 96 online members at the same time! (The previous record, back in May, was 82.) We are currently at 60% capacity with guild spots. Everyone willing to join us should send a whisper to any of the following: Moradinn (myself), Azanulbizarr, Thranix, Rorszhach, Hardcorelife or Portya; We are glad to announce that our first Molten Core PuG will take place this thursday, 7 September, at 7 PM (Server Time).

This is the guild subforum, not the place to look for language based communities. Here you go, use the search tool next time ;)

Our guild has been successfully expanded to double up its normal capacity (from 321 to 642 spots); our recruitment is now open again with no further need for people to wait in queue! Those who would like to be invited right away are free to whisper my alt, Incanuss, whenever they wish; The new influx of players has currently brought us between the 10th and 11th position within the top Alliance guilds by XP.

Legacy Crusade: The Journey doesn't end here!
Aurigon replied to Ash's topic in Official Information
Just wait until the least progressed realm (aka Elysium PvP) gets on par with the rest, only then >> launch the TBC realm >> profit. That way the community will be united, highly populated and thriving and there's not gonna be conflicts of sorts between worid first racers and whatnot. -
We are currently stable at position #15 among the Alliance guilds by total XP (although we appear as #3 overall and #1 between the Alliance guilds here). Here we come China... We are in the process of evaluating possible times for our future raid schedule, and have a candidate Raid Leader in his final stage of leveling; We are generally not accepting alts anymore, exceptions are only made for high ranked members and under the condition that their alts are actively played and leveled up; We are receiving awesome feedback by the community on a daily base, thanks everyone who appreciates what we are trying to accomplish and especially those who are actively working towards that goal; We are being literally swarmed by requests to join that we cannot grant. Right now and for the rest of this month (August 2017), the best way to enter our ranks is by sending this form and being added to our waiting list; Our apologies to all those we have to turn down. Plans to expand are currently being worked on, by the next 1st of September we promise each and every one of you will have a spot assured.
