They should be in this patch, but unfortunately they seem to be bugged.

Hi there! Your tips have been very useful to figuring out the optimal way to AoE farm on my Paladin. Have you had much luck with finding some farming spots for level 60 (assuming you've hit 60 by now)? I've just recently picked up a Skullflame Shield and I have some pretty good tanking gear on my Paladin, but I'm having trouble really nailing down a location that provides good GPM, preferably in an instance. Lasher farm hasn't been that great GPM wise. I've also done SM for cloth/chests but it's mediocre at best. I'm also planning on picking up a Masterwork Stormhammer http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=12794 and putting the Badlands Fiery Blaze Enchantment on it. Dropping Reckoning bombs with that combination should deliver a pretty devastating amount of damage. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Here's another good one to farm Ilyanna Ravenoak in DM West. I've used this to "sell" random people in world chat a pair of Padre's Trousers. You need 1 Druid in relatively good healing gear, and 1 feral Druid or 1 well-geared Rogue. The 3rd "carry" doesn't need to be a stealth class for this to work: The person who needs the drops, if they can't stealth, can very carefully maneuver through the courtyard towards the ramp leading down to the big tree without pulling anything. Once there, that person runs into the southwest Undead area and dies in the corner. Don't release spirit. If they can stealth just have them come with you. Go all the way upstairs and park in the southwestern corner of the causeway - behind the tree planter. When Ravenoak gets close, the resto druid pops out to aggro her. Sleep the Bear, and keep a close eye on the sleep timer. The Rogue/Feral engages Ravenoak and you kill her. Stay away from each other to avoid the AoE stun/trap, and keep sleeping the bear. If you're healing a rogue, have them bring health pots in case you get stunned. You'll also want your innervate off cooldown. When she dies, master loot the item to the dead player who is directly underneath you. Ta-da!

If you convert to raid you can all immediately /camp and log back in instantly without losing your instance lock and/or teleporting someone to their hearthstone location.

You can 3 man Rattlegore + most of the mini-boss rooms before Gandling in Scholo for Bone Ring Helm/Cadaverous. One reasonably geared bear tank, 1 cat/rogue, and 1 resto druid in mediocre gear can do the run. The route is as follows: Kill the four guards at the start of the dungeon. Stealth, then jump down and to the left off the railing closest to the dungeon entrance. Land on the little ledge. Having Feral Instinct (+stealth level) talent for this is pretty much mandatory. Only 1 person should do this for now. Stealth up to the gate and wedge yourself right into the corner. Wait for the patrols to be far away (on both sides), then open the gate. You should be able to restealth in time. When the gate is open, everyone else jumps down. Stealth to Rattlegore and kill him. Loot the key. Convert to raid and camp out of the instance. Zone back in, and move over to the ledge where you can drop down to the Viewing Room door. Do the "Vanish pull" trick to move all the trash away from the door so the key holder can open it without getting aggro. If you don't have a rogue, just let someone suicide pull it (to prevent mobs bugging at the dungeon entrance). Walk over to the minibosses. It's possible to kill all of them, but I usually skip the slow detonating zombie room (top left), and the Occultist room (top right). Lord Alexei Barov can be skipped too if your party is undergeared. Reset and repeat until you get the Cadaverous pieces you need!

Bear is a lot more complicated than people give it credit for. The difference between a good bear and a bad bear can be measured by the gear in your bags and how you use that gear to approach a fight. Your strength is in your versatility. If you try to take a "one size fits all" approach to being a bear then you're just a strictly worse Warrior and there's no reason to bring you to a raid. Bring Hit gear for when you're tanking the first add to die. Bring a mix of FR gear for imp packs and tanking multiple Garr adds. Switch between higher armour and higher stam gear pieces based on whether you're taking majority physical or majority magical damage. Wear a mix of cat gear that's passable for tanking if you're a backup tank. Have a full cat set for when you don't need to tank, and a full healing set for Rag/when your raid is short on healers. Cover all those bases and you can handle any situation this patch throws at you, and you'll impress your officers with your dedication, knowledge, and versatility.

I can confirm that while running around the big "ring road" in Blackrock Mountain Feline Swiftness is active. I think this only started happening in the last week or so. That's the only place I've noticed this bug, but I'm sure there are others.

Certainly, I was just using that as an example of what you'd do if you actually were going all in on converted attack power rather than hit. In MC the only fight you'll be asked to innervate other players on is Rag, so mana really shouldn't be a problem for you. If it is, just bring a few Superior or Major Mana Potions. You'll only need 1 per boss for about 50% of the bosses. As I said, this was for personal use. I took the healing ring from this quest reward rather than the Mark, because I already had a +10/+10 and the difference between that and the Mark is negligible, whereas the healing ring will be excellent for a very long time. Remember that the strength of a feral druid is your versatility. In my last MC, I tanked on Lucifron, DPS'd Magmadar, DPS'd Gehennas, tanked Garr, DPS'd Geddon, tanked Shazzrah, tanked Harbinger, DPS'd Golemagg, tanked Majordomo, and healed Ragnaros.

There's not much to say. Looking at his list, you drop 3% hit and gain 1% crit/39AP/4% chance to restore 35 energy. I'd argue that the energy restoration proc is irrelevant in PvE for current content. Fights are so short that you won't be running out of mana for power shifting on anything but Garr. In addition, the proc is not predictable and could proc in situations where it does literally nothing eg. right after dropping to 0 energy from Shreds, or when you're going to tick from 80 -> 100 energy due to an Omen of Clarity proc. After considering that it's just a comparison of the item stats - which you can verify on the BIS list (here's an edited version I made to help myself track my own gear sets/upgrades for the Elysium content patch). If you're going for pure combat value stats and don't care about the hit cap, then you can do waaaayyyy better than 6/8 Shadowcraft. Here's some examples of what you'd change: +15 converted AP going from Shadowcraft Bracers -> Bracers of the Eclipse +15 converted AP going from Shadowcraft Belt -> Cloudrunner Girdle +25 converted AP going from Impervious Giant -> Bonecrusher Also, currently in this patch Shadowcraft Boots are something like 4 Agility/9 Stamina, so going from that to Swiftwalker Boots is a ~40 converted AP gain. As you can see we're already ahead by a very large margin after only changing 3 Shadowcraft pieces out. The only reason I would equip 6/8 Shadowcraft in PvE is if you desperately need the stamina for whatever reason.

Is dps warrior valued in raids at the beginning?
dingdong420blazeit replied to Bagger's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Here's the thing with Ret Paladin: there's a stigma against them because they are not good. You provide worse utility than any other Paladin spec, and arguably the worst DPS in the game of any DPS spec. Some guilds will take one Ret Paladin, but consider that there's a lot of people who want to be the "one" Ret Paladin - and generally if you get accepted to raids, it'll be on the condition that you do more prep than even the main tank to ensure you aren't holding everyone back. That means chugging Major Mana Potions, bringing all of your appropriate elixirs/scrolls/food/Blasted Lands consumables (including spell damage consumables) and maintaining them, and having the absolute best gear you can equip. So here's some questions you should be asking yourself: Do you want to risk potentially not even being able to find a raid spot at all? Do you want to deal with being denied dungeon spots due to being stigmatized? Do you want to spend all that extra time and money on consumables just so you can reach the same damage as the worst Hunter in your raid? Also keep in mind that Paladins get progressively worse for DPS throughout vanilla. Consider how Paladins scale: your DPS rotation consists of flat damage Judgements (same damage in Naxx as in MC) white auto attacks which you have very few ways to scale (no Death Wish, Blade Flurry, etc.), and 7 Seal of Command procs per minute (scales off the damage of your weapon). Compare this to a Rogue: Poisons (flat damage, doesn't scale), white auto attacks with a multitude of ways to scale (Slice and Dice, Blade Flurry), and literally dozens of yellow attacks per minute (Sinister Strike/Backstab) that deal a high percentage of weapon damage AND bonus damage on top of that. These can also be scaled with Adrenaline Rush. Consider all those factors, and you can see why Rogues/Warriors pull waaaayyyyyy ahead of Paladins as the server progresses.
