    RP

Great idea, we need to divide the server populations a bit further.

    Ghost Saber not spawning

It's pure RNG, I have that pet and it took me like 5 hours, while some got it in 10 minutes.

Cannot seem to trade on the neutral AH?

Not even after 5 minutes? There's supposed to be a 5min IP lock on your own auctions, to protect people from sniping (which is utter bullshit if you ask me and one of the worst non-blizzlike features added, but I won't go into detail on that topic now). Thing is the feature is extremely buggy, to the point people don't even know if it actually exists or not.
  4. The Anathema population decline is spiraling out of control, because every newbie is attracted to the higher pop server by default, even though he's probably going to regret it later. Transfers are the only way to save the server, I've yet to sell a 5stack of Devilsaur leather for 3 days now.
  5. My only issue with this is that as far as things like herb farming are concerned, you can compete with bots, as they can't (not that I'm aware of on this server) teleport all over the map and farm out all the nodes in minutes, also aren't as widespread. If simply sniping for items using autobuy is going to be always punished, there needs to be a strong push for this, as autobuy completely stifles out any competition not using it. Some people feel safer posting stuff that's worth 100g+ for let's say 10g, that's where I come in.
  6. Not true, I ninja anything of value I can turn a beefy profit on. Sniping isn't the problem, people are always going to cry about losing when trying to turn a risky profit/save on arbitrage. The problem is the principle itself, that you can do impactful things without actually playing yourself, but many addons take advantage of that, albeit nowhere near as extremely, and it's just a problem of the early WoW. A line must be drawn somewhere but it's tough when it can be barely enforced.
  7. I honestly do not think autobuy is healthy for the economy, as the sniping game devolves into making the perfect string and having better ping than everone else. The risk of being sniped is crucial in my opinion, and very healthy for the game, as alliance and horde actually compete for the resources the server provides. There is a very good reason for the 15% neutral AH cut, the faction with stronger world presence will obviously have cheaper materials to enjoy, but the weaker side has more profit in it, free item transfer would make Alliance farming way less incetivized and competitive. The real issue here is that without autobuy you are severely crippled in your ability to snipe, making it nearly impossible and basically handing over the hunting grounds to people considered cheaters. We have really dug ourselves into a hole here and the only way out seems to be if Shirshig provides a legal alternative that can somewhat compete in speed.
  8. I'm not arguing that, that's for a much wider discussion, just refuting your flawed arguments.

    [AddOn] aux and more

Since the auto-buy feature has been considered a big no-no by the dev team for the time being, would it please be possible to create a confirmation button for when Aux wants to autobuy something? Maybe don't show item info/price to retain as much of the original autobuy feature's quickness and make the button clickable by a macro command that we can spam.
  10. Did you read the link? It was a reply to a one trick pony addon made specifically for autosniping, before this function was added into Aux. Also a lot more functions were removed/restricted in the API in 2.0.1 because Blizzard figured they're bad for the game. For instance it completely broke Decursive. Edit: sory for the doublepost, somehow this ended up in a new post instead of an edit of previous.
  11. Big issue is that most people don't even know this is forbidden, hell, a lot of GM's even... Hurricane: OP's problem is, that unlike actual botting, there is abosolutely no way to tell if someone is actually "botting" making the rule extremely hard to enforce properly.
  12. Calling me a liar is one way to go about it, we just both have different information. It's funny you mentioned Pottu: " by Pottu » Thu Feb 11, 2016 7:40 pm Greetings, this addon is not against our rules for now and using it is allowed. The GM team. " https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=32465
  13. Oh lawdy, this (well not exactly this, but a standalone sniping autobuy addon from the creator of Aux which did essentially the same thing) was allowed on Nost so I always kinda assumed nothing has changed as everyone is doing it anyway, especially since it would be "blizzlike" considering the amount of vanilla addons that literally made decisions for you and acted on them in raids (like Decursive, TradeDispenser, should we restrict these as well, as they do not fit into the modern idea for addon automation?). This is such a grey area thing honestly, I'm sure Aux could even be modified to only buy when holding spacebar, effectively subjecting to any arbitrary non-blizzlike rules. Edit: Would just like to add that Aux itself does not have any sort of anti-idle, so you actually have to be present at your computer if you don't want to get kicked offline, also if you actually follow the rules for dual-account (which don't seem to be enforced all that well? I've been to a dungeon run with a chinese guy playing 3 characters and he's apparently had them for a very long time), this locks down your area of operation to the neutral ah zone so your player behavior remains more or less unaffected, you invest the time you spend playing into it. AH sniping and market play in general is a big part of the fun in the game to some, and as OP said, restricting widely accessible and hard to police game-default features in such a small playing field as the neutral AH can be really detrimental, as it is a PvP mode after all. Is it broken? Definitely yes, but if you have no reliable way to get rid of it, it should stay allowed, Blizzard has come to realize many mistakes in their game that they've fixed later on, yet we don't go around telling people not to use engineering stunbombs, alt+f4 doorclipping and AV GY ghostwalking just because the developer realized how stupid these things were in a later version of the game.
