You can display your highest earned title at the beginning of TBC patch 2.0 even if you're a scout/private currently, but that's not the same as freezing rank. I don't think it's possible to freeze rank by avoiding PVP completely. The other thing is that I would have expected your decay to be worse than 50% of rank 9 if you were rank 10. All I know is that I lost rank as I took a couple of weeks off to tend to real life needs.

No steam? The powers that be just made a drastic change that you don't like. You could have participated in those threads and saved yourself from this with some other solution to the premade problem. Saying that premades aren't a problem just cost you big time. gg... you just lost the premade battle.

We had a long discussion on this forum about how PVP was broken months ago and this issue came up back then. Don't come back today and say there wasn't any community feedback, because that is a lie. Some people think everything is fine. Many others think PVP is broken. If everyone thought PVP was fine, we wouldn't be having these long threads on PVP brokenness.

Vanilla AV experience? I went into one AV that had lasted for 8 hours and we were down to around 15 per side. Many were AFKing out once they figured out what they signed up for. I think the server crashed shortly after I bailed out. I don't think too many people are interested in summoning NPCs and are more interested in zerging the backdoor.

With the roof incident in this thread, was it safer to be on the roof than on the ground next to the roof or the ground under the roof? Can any player jump up to the roof easily without special gymnastics or a mount? If no on both, then I think it's fine. Can somebody from NOTHING PERSONAL willing to talk let us know of the result? I'm also ok if you want to keep it private to yourselves and don't say anything.

There is nothing wrong with ganking in BB as a whole. Or ganking inside of an alliance town from the roof. Gank early and gank often. BUT safespots are not part of the Vanilla experience. There is a video (on youtube?) from the retail TBC era where a player got mysteriously ported from the ganking safespot where guards don't attack to the ground where he took the 10% durability penalty from the guards. The player returned to the safespot to gank again and got mysteriously ported again to be killed by the guards. The player is now thinking WTF. Then a GM started whispering the player. It doesn't matter if the safespot is easy or difficult to reach. The Booty Bay example in this thread had a blizzlike response with the temporary ban. But I think the lesson would be better if the GM had the opportunity to port the player to the BB guards a couple of times. As long as you can be killed by all guards within aggro range from the spot you are standing, it's all good. If you can gank a player, the guard standing next to the player needs to have the ability to come up and kill you. Vanish, bubblehearth, etc to evade the guards is perfectly fine. But if the guards within aggro range know you need to be killed but you stand in the same spot doing nothing to evade, it's a safespot/exploit, you kjnow it, and you know you deserve a ban.

How do you enforce premades vs. premades? Kick them to world PVP so they can face challenges like raiding Org or Stormwind just like PVErs have to work hard in their raids to avoid wipes. There is no way to allow group or raid queueing in BGs. Premades are not going to do the honorable thing and will exploit with simultaneous clicking to face PUGs in BG for much faster honor via 5-caps and 3-flags. Premades (and especially twinks) are designed solely to faceroll PUGs and levelers, not to fight other premades. Make it impossible for groups to stay together by randomizing the order of BG entry with a decay on the randomization after x minutes. Wintrading is a lot harder when BGs are mixed up. Respec should not be necessary if premades are torn apart in the BG queue.

You actually meant nothing is wrong with PVE right and that is a typo? PVP is really broken on Elysium unless you're truly blind. You're totally oblivious to it. Think logically. We wouldn't be having this thread if it was sunshine and roses in PVP like you suggest and leave everything blizzlike. PVP is very broken and many players are disgusted with the current situation while the PVE side is doing pretty well. Many of us returned many years later with jobs and families. I cannot PVP 40+ hours a week farming honor by sitting in the graveyard of a BG and killing lowbies in WPVP. Neither is fun so we don't PVP.

Cater to casuals and PVE folks, which are the vast majority. Or cater to premades and twinks. Management needs to make the decision. You can't please everyone, but PVP right now is a disaster except for no-lifers with r14. Group queues have to go. In addition, the queue should be randomized every 30 seconds so it doesn't matter if the premade clicks at the same time. After 10 minutes of waiting, the folks still waiting are no longer affected by the randomization. The wintrading would be a lot harder if you can't predict when the wintraders on the other end will hit the BG. You want premades? There is a whole world for PVP. You can do premade vs. premade too or raid a capital city. Premades belong in world PVP, not BGs. Account wide death penalty for the chronic (not occasional) AFK watching Netflix, bots, wintrading, and essentially shared 24x7 accounts.

How do you make sure you're not selling services to a gold/toon buyer/seller and then getting banned later down the road by Elysium for accepting "dirty" gold?
