I may be in the minority here but I always loved it. I played on a pvp server on live and I always thought that was what was fun about it. Grinding around, never knowing that at the turn of any corner it could be your last. Even the other night when I was grinding in Shimmering flats it ended up turning into a full blown pvp battle which was great! I understand that pvp is not for everyone, but the biggest advice I have to give is patients. If you get ganked it is not the end of the world. You can always try to fight back, or take a break, or find another place. At the end of the day you get to 60 when you get there. Most people it seems do not have the patients and get frustrated, next time you get ganked, just relax and laugh it off.
