The big idea: Write a programme which blocks the messages which contain certain words/characters/numbers in a message. I have already realised that we get muted if we send a bigger amount of messages over a period, which is really cool, but definitely not enough. I get the same whispers with the same text for days, I don't even understand why you don't use this method when several private servers - including Nost - used it and it worked well. These black market workers don't even have to try hard to advertise their shits. Just for an example: This is the basic text: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx If it contains the following exact characters: Ł - 0wow - gold or: 0ww - & - Đ etc. mute the character for an hour, and check the blocked messages and bann the filtered characters ingame. I know it has to be a well written programme but I think you do more complicated things than this. If I'm wrong could you please at least give a feedback why is it not applicable? All the bests, Iron

Speeding up the timeline for Elysium
Ironfoot replied to pigvomit's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
+1. Please don't even bother with this guy, he cannot accept other's opinion and he has infinity time to write back... -
First of all, I didn't write this topic to judge or give advice. I'm simply looking for the answers of the following technical issues. I've played on 2 servers before where I was not able to send any kind of message which contained other private server's name. So if I wrote 'xxxxxxxxxxxxElysiumxxxxxxxxxxx' my message hasn't been sent. Why is it not possible to use the same method here? In the end of the gold selling whispers there are several random letters/characters/numbers, so it means our team is muting a whole message, and not a word or a few characters from the message. So it's not that efficient to mute if these bastards still have infinity possibility. In addition, I also don't understand why is it not possible to mute messages which contains certain characters/letters/numbers in a certain order. I mean if you have a text: xxxxxxxx gold.com xxxxxx why we cannot mute the whole message which contains g-o-l-d-c-o-m - in this order. I don't think it causes lagg since we have already banned thousands of messages. So can somebody enlighten me please?

				Idea against gold selling whispers
Ironfoot replied to Ironfoot's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Thanks mate, probably I'll do it. It's not just about whispers, it's about server economy. We can't defend against farming bots, but we can stop the advertisement. If there will be less demand for buying gold these faggots won't work this hard. The current system is a joke, I reported today 3 bots but I got 2 more whispers from the first reported guy within the next 3 hours. I really would like to see improvement in this issue. -

Unfortunately I don't have time to PvP at all, but I don't see the reason of ruining the que in bigger groups. Everybody has the opportunity to play in premade. It's like doing PvE with your guild. If you pug and wipefest.. you knew it can happen. Well organised guilds/groups deserve to gain more. edit: After this I can imagine that people won't be allowed to do raids from the same guild because they clear the content too fast and it's too easy with a well organised group. I'm tired of you lads, you are hopeless... :( Since there is no option without negative output I hope the staff will make a mid way solution for their whole community, and will ignore your load of shits because you are biased as fk for your 1k pop server and your best compromise is forcing ppl to choose between TBC(on your server because it's nearly dead) or vanilla, but no mid way. Obviously we r the selfish. I really recommend you to check what is the definition of selfish and compromise, because you are throwing these words unjustly. And @Keala visit a psychologist please, you are really in need of it. Peace. -

I'm just getting tired of those ppl who'd offer transfer from Ely to Anathema in the name of 'mid way' for those who want to play TBC and they call selfish the Elysium players. Because in this case Ely players'd sacrifice their progress and Anathema players'd sacrifice their... oh wait... NOTHING! And they are talking about compromise. ROFL They even repeat themselves frequently and don't realise that they are exactly the same just like everyone else here. -

I don't want to comment your points anymore since I've already told several times that I understood your reasons and I feel your pain, but there is another side of the coin and you totally ignore it. Dude, you really should do something with your life. I hope you are just bored or grinded too much nowadays, but you seem really embarrassed. *sigh -

Actually, no. It's really true in the current situation since Elysium players are 3/4 of the community. We are talking about facts and our opinion, just like you, but we don't call you liar and selfish. -

I'd like to finish my vanilla progression, like you had the opportunity for it, and then I also would like to go through TBC with the same characters. It's not just me, but my guild, and the vast majority of the active Elysium players. If you want a flourishing TBC server like Elysium in its category, you have to wait for the end of the progression or merge somehow, but transfering will cause probably a mid populated server, and the community will be splitted, just like right now. This is not true, I want 1 vanilla and 1 TBC server(or 2 with crossrealm functions) with optional transfer, but I don't want divided community and servers anymore, and you are suggesting additional splitting. If you think it's a selfish thingy then I can't help you. Like I said before, I understand your problem, your reasons are totally valid, the situation is really unfortunate, but I prefer serving the bigger good, and that's bringing the whole community to TBC at the same time. -

Do you really think that thousands of people would go Anathema with transer from Elysium just because TBC and give up their current vanilla progression? These people love vanilla, this is why they play here. TBC is an option after vanilla now. I'm against forcing people to choose, and as I said before, there are thousands of people who are willing to play TBC when vanilla progression ends. I'd rather reroll on CF and bring my chars through all the vanilla progression again instead of giving up my current one. You are talking about selfish Elysium players while you are suggesting to force them to bring their characters to your server if they want to play TBC. Rofl -

I understand what you, Anathema players are speaking here, we are kinda on the same boat since nobody wants to leave their characters behind. There is simply no output without negative affects, but it's a fact that Elysium has 5x population, so imo if they want to be a healthy, well populated TBC server they shouldn't fk up a well working realm. If only Anathema goes to TBC it will die out again in long terms. The vast majority of Elysium players won't roll to TBC until vanilla progression hasn't finished. I'd say the best of the worsts option is let anathema wait, since it affects the least players, and nobody forced to reroll, nobody has to leave their characters behind. This is my personal opinion, I see this way the most logical, not because I'm an Elysium player, but I don't expect people to reroll. -

Sounds cool! You expect thousand of players to leave all their toons, all their played time and reroll on Anathema where people have at least 6 characters/player with tons of gold, materials and bis gear on half of them, which won't matter. In this case, I'd like to suggest to let anathema be the only vanilla server since it's nearly already dead, and if they want to play TBC let them reroll on Elysium. It would affect just a few houndred people instead of thousands. I hope you feel how does your recommendation sounds for me. -

Ironfoot replied to Ash's topic in Official Information
As I said before, the ideal TBC for this community would be 2 realms on the same timeline with crossrealm BG, Arena and AH, and the vanilla realms should be merged into 1. The 'low poped' TBC would be more attractive for people who think logical. None of the servers would die out imo. Edit: but the 2 realms have to launch at the same time to avoid what happened with ZK. There was demand for a second fresh vanilla server, but not after a week(or two) from launch. -

Ironfoot replied to Ash's topic in Official Information
As I read the comments I've seen pretty good suggestions, but the sad situation is that we have no opportunity to unite the whole community without negative impact... :( However, we really need a merge. Anyway, I still belive that they should launch TBC with at least 2 servers with crossrealm AH, BG and Arena. Outland cant handle 6-7-8k ppl, that would be totally insane. If you would like to remember me what happened with Kul'Tiras I have to tell you that I was lv35 when they announced it, and our guild was around lv20-25 in average, so nobody wanted to abandon his character. With this population + those people who will join when TBC will launch we will have easily 10k ppl. On the other hand, 2000-2500 ppl for a TBC server is more than healthy, and the lower populated server would easily have this number.
