I'm not sure if anyone can help me here. A few months ago I took a short break from playing and when i tried to log in about a month or so later, I received a pop up keypad asking for an additional code to log in (I am assuming this is two-factor authentication). I have never used 2FA before, and I certainly didn't add it to my account. I am not sure if that keypad pops up only when your first password is added correctly, but it's possible my original password has been changed too.
I am also locked out of the old hotmail email account I have associated with the elysium account (it says I need to verify my identity before I can access it, but the secondary email I have associated with it was long forgotten ten years ago). So I can't really reset the password. I basically have no way to prove the account is mine other than providing details of the characters in the account, if they haven't been played or deleted. Am I totally out of luck here? Is there any way I can discuss with an admin any options I might have about getting my account back? I don't even care if the characters were stripped by gold sellers, I'm just interested in the character names and levels I had.
Problem solved, I'm retarded. I've literally been unable to play for months because i'm an idiot. Feel free to delete this post if you have the power.
