I started playing in about April 2005 and don't think I got any addons for a few months.
Ones I do remember, I think are Baggins, Gatherer, KLH Threat meter and some kind of damage meter.
In the later pre-TBC months I was using an awesome compilation that did way more than I ever needed called Mazzlefizz UI (I think) - made by a lovely person called Mazzlefizz.
Basically I want something to make bags management/selling junk a bit easier, a bit of a prettier health/mana bar (they were left/right in an arc around my char in the middle of the screen), some enemy cast bar/health/mana values addon, oh and something that shows cooldown timers on my own action bars. I don't seem to be able to do that in native ui settings?
So not much, really. I'm only low level and really quite enjoying it... but there's a lot from retail wow that I miss.
