Hey guys,
So I bought a new laptop with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphics card. Drivers are updated.
I've read on Nvidia forums that this diagonal screen tear has been present in old games for quite some time now. Players from different games have reported they were fixed, but I don't think Nvidia will address this issue for Vanilla WoW, since it's not an official game (yet :D) I guess.
I did try multiple things like setting the max frame rate 1 FPS below max refresh rate. Enabling/Disabling vSync.
Diagonal screen tear is not present in fullscreen mode, but I cannot play in fullscreen mode because every time i alt tab out, my ICC profile gamma calibration resets and it's frustrating. So playing in windowed/maximized mode is the only option for me.
Disabling vsync does reduce the tearing a bit, but it's still there. Also, disabling vsnync makes gameplay a little bit clunky at times, so I think it's better to leave it on. Sigh, idk what to do.
Did anyone else experience this diagonal screen tear in windowed/maximized mode? How'd you fix it?
Cheers
