I am actively playing in Elysium, but i have to voice a big NO to the topic. It is already overcrowded atm, we dont need to implement features/timeline faster than necessary (and in fact i agree the idea of making other realms more advanced to encourage new player starting somewhere else other than Elysium). Let's face it, we already have enough lags, reboots, discos and queue to get in, we dont need anything that encourage more people starting/moving to Elysium until the above issues are fixed.

And i cant even log in to the server atm.........just let me get in and return the character to the inn and you can close down the server for overhaul even a week, i dont mind, please...............

Transfer of population is necessary, the real question is, how to, and who are being moved. Elysium 's overpopulation not only cause server to crash/lag, but also create problem in questing, too many people are hunting the same kind of beast for a specific quest item drop make kill stealing (intentional or not) become rather popular, and for quests which quest item is at a specific location and can be "taken" (which i mean disappear for some time before respawn), it cant be worse than having to stand in the same place for a long time (and u cant afk), waiting for the quest item to respawn and try to click on it before every one else is waiting (i give an example, the [Bingles' Missing Supplies] in Loch Modan, a bunch of players standing around the location of [Bingles' Screwdriver] (quest item) waiting for the respawn of it, i am not good at quick mouse picking and it took me more than an hour just to get that done, i dont like to use such words, but it is ridiculous for playing a game in that way...........

Yeah this is frustrating........now i feel that i am being left with 2 choices if i really want to play vanilla........either choose a realm that crash on hourly basis, or......go to a realm where near to no one..........no one buy what u sell in the AH, you cant buy what u want becoz no one is selling........or at an inflated price, oh, not to forget to mention most quests except dungeons you will be on your own becoz u wont be able to find someone around the quest area to do it together as a team........enjoy doing the elite quest solo :-/

Despite announcement of TBC, i took a look of the AH of Anathema just now (becoz i cant get in to Elysium), i find that there were so little people (AFK bots or not), even in SW. Also the AH have so little stuffs available, the low population make AH a poor way to buy/sell things due to high price (lack of suppliers) and low chance of selling due to less buyers.

The server condition today isnt great....~5 crashes in last 2 hours....I think it is really time to considering moving some of the players from Elysium to Anathema, volunteers can opt to switch there, if not enough people choose to go, then randomly move some accounts will be the way to go, afterall, when both realm have similiar population, people dont have much incentive to choose Elysium starting a new account...hopefully

So i didnt play WOW, or any other MMORPG before. I started my journey in Anathema (the realm with low population), and Human Warrior (the hardest class to level considered by many). Now it is my situation, Lv15 now - The quest are so often in areas where there are multiple of bandits which stand very close each other (try to pull one usually means pulling 3~4 or more at one time = death secured), and i dont have skills/ranged weapons to pull only one at a time - Most of the time there are not much people around the mission areas to form group, even if there are, in most situation the party is formed to achieved some kill objective quest, but in many situation i need to bring quest item to a specific area which is highly dangerous for solo, while i am not sure is other player willing to help just escorting me to the destination; I have met some nice people who give me free bags/armor equipments so i want to see if there is other way for me to complete the quest and level up without having to switch to another realm/class (but no, i dont want to spend enormous time to grind exp by repeat killing and killing and killing, it is too boring), any suggestion/advise? I looked at the map, STV is south of Eastern Kingdom, if i need to get there from Elwynn Forest, i need to go thru Duskwood on the way which sounds like Non-Alliance Zone, is it dangerous to do so?

I just wonder how people form a party. I say again and again the the Stormwind City, but most people are Lv60 players and no one give a damn, while there are very few players in Goldshire. I dont have idea where can i find more low level players to form a party.

Just tried the Naxxramas PTR, all new character start Lv60 max? Is it a realm for different play style? So i sum the information from you so far, Elysium - sounds good, but too populated, and i dont even manage to connect; Anathema - Low on population, i find difficult to form/join a party; Darrowshire - PvE only, i'd take your words and skip on this one; Naxxramas PTR - Didnt hear a word from you, but new character start Lv60?

So TLDR, PvE Realm is the way to go for players new to MMORPG?

So i am about to start a new character, probably Warlock. The next question is, which realm this time? I tired many times but no success in connecting to Elysium, while i find it difficult to form a party in Anathema.

Added Twink, if you log in we can see what can i do to git gud faster. Having said that, if Warrior is not a good choice for beginner, and there are other roles that are more sought after, i am fine to start with a new character. At the end of the day, it is just Lv11 which took me 2 days to reach.

Tried to play on Elysium, but i stuck on the "Connected" screen (i can only click "Cancel"), how to fix it (all other servers are fine)?
