Is it too late to start?

It depends on what you're after. If you're just after some casual fun to play Vanilla, by all means. I'm having a blast and meeting a lot of great people on both sides (never leveled an Ally to 60 before, should be interesting!). Started a week ago and the server is FILLED with new players.. there will always be up-and-comers. If you want all sorts of server firsts and for WoW to be your second job, you may be too late. If you want to have fun with less pressure, stick around :) You'll get there,.. everyone does eventually, and seriously, the starting zones are so full that people are being forced to group to finish quests. And really, don't rush it. Farming bugs is not as fun as it's cracked up to be when AQ opens up ;) Just have fun...unless you're a die-hard (which is cool also).. then yes, you may want to wait for another server to start. But for anyone else reading who doesn't feel the need to be top of the pile again, remember to relax.. because once that portal opens... ;) Well, we were all there and knew what happened. Depends on play style, basically. :)

    When Somebody Leaves <Iron Edge>

I'm old, and used to go on MC runs and whatnot on retail Vanilla, back in the mists of time. ;) Other than using a DKP system, which would have precluded you from getting loot the first few runs anyhow, the other thing that our old guild did (if anyone from Projekt Mayhem is reading.. hello!) was to disallow loot from trial members for the first 4 runs anyhow, because a lot of them had to learn how to raid successfully and not wipe everyone. (Hell if I could do it anymore.. it'd take time to get back up to speed. Not even sure I'll raid this time around.. shard farming for summons still gives me nightmares ;) ) But as for being disallowed loot for two weeks, that was just a given for any new folks in the guild back when.. longer, even, because of the DKP system. This system from Iron Edge sounds much more lax comparatively. I wouldn't have /gquit, I'd have dealt with it for those two weeks because Iron Edge WILL progress and if you're into raiding it seems to be a guild you'd want to be in. Enjoyed watching Iron Edge in IF recently as I was on an Alliance character BTW.. ya'll got trapped in the military quarter because a lot of Alli were smart enough to unflag, but it's nice to see ACTUAL world PvP.. Best of luck with your guild. :) No, not interested in joining or raiding this time around, playing casually, but it's fun to watch you all :)
