Hi Exude,
Know that leveling a Warrior is a bit of a slog. Make sure you're upgrading your weapon regularly. Stats on it aren't nearly as important as how hard it hits. Also, you can use that 2h, but give Fury a try. There's a neat way to abuse enrage by pulling a mob, and sitting down for a guaranteed crit on you. That buffs your damage a great deal and you can take it out with relative ease.
Here's a few relevant tips:
While questing or adventuring, take one thing at a time. You'll find you're a bit rage starved until about level 30 or so. This can prove to be quite the pain in the ass.
When you hit 60, know that you're not going to be main tanking anytime soon. Tanking as a whole is a tricky beast, so I would recommend doing some dungeons (even as arms or fury) to cut your teeth on and get used to tanking. Some annoying things to note is the range on taunt, and your weakness as an AOE tank. Thunderclap is your friend as well as Demo Shout. 2 sunders, tab to the next target usually works pretty well as a main source of threat.
Mark your targets! Keybind the raid marker icons (you can use these in parties of 5 even) and tell your party the kill order. I typically use: Skull > X > Star > Moon, where Moon is sheeped or otherwise CC'd if applicable. Try not to take more than 2-3 mobs at a time in those dungeons. Rolling crushing blows really suck and there's nothing you can really do about them until cap.
Make a Priest friend around your level. Trust me, finding a healer for a dungeon is just about as hard as finding a Tank for a dungeon. Since you're new, you're going to want to favor Priests instead of the hybrid healers since they're stronger. Still, that's not to say you can't find a good Druid/Shaman/Paladin who knows what's up. Bottom line, have someone you trust heal you.
Good luck!
