So ive noticed that in the damage feed, spamming nova while casting a frostbolt will sometimes, if your fast and time it well, land after the frostnova lands the target. (if its in nova range etc). This is mutch like when spamming fireblast on a frostbolt cast to have the fireblast land before the frostbolt. This has to do with the frostbolt being a projectile with a travel time im thinking.
Im whondering if its possible to create a macro where you can delay the cast of a nova to the precise moment that the frostbolt is done for it to hit and freeze target before the frostbolt hits making it get at " shatter" hit with +50% critt chance. This would be EPIC in druid or priest fights where they always dispell or shapeshift, often even before global cooldown ins fin and you have time to put an instant on them. Then there is also a Question weither there are different ranges that this will work for, if the nova also has a time delay before actualy freezing targets in place after being cast. I can see how arctic reach could have a play in this. Too short of a range the frostbolt would perhaps reach its target too soon, but if far away enough but still within nova range it will proc shatter. If someone more knowlegable of macros could help me out it would be fairly easy to do a quick statistical alnalysis over what works and dosent in an controlled enivroment, say duell.
Any input would be great, or even a clean cut by the angles should i be a retard and have forgotten about something and this is all nonsens.
Cheers!
Maybe this should be moved to pvp?
