this is the first "kind of" response i have seen since the 180g epic mount fuckup. sooo, you kind of ignored it, or i missed it. but im not gonna keep riding a dead horse ... well, i am for now, since im undead ^^

no one knew the game back then, so you cant compare world pvp back in vanilla with world pvp here. pretty much everyone i talked to, even now high ranked players, is fed up with this kind of "wpvp" and everyone is waiting with anticipation for the bgs to start. sure, this is technically just how it was back in vanilla, but 35 days with honor system and without bgs was maybe a litte too long for a game most players here know very well. also, the whole 180g mount thing just fucked it up and made the whole situation far worse, ignore it all you want.

I don't know where exactly anymore, but i read that some "staff members", or whatever you call it, have their own characters on the server. Is that true? and if so, why? Seems highly unprofessional to me. Even if they never abuse their power, still weird.

As many of you alrdy know, with the price switch for mounts/riding skill a lot of player who were lvl60 pre patch 1.4 were able to buy their epic mount for just 180g and ive got some questions. 1) Why did you switch the prices with 1.4 and not 1.12.1?(like it would be if u wanna be "blizzlike") 2) Why would you give players who are alrdy at an advantage (lvl60 early) another HUGE advantage by giving them the epic mount for almost free? 3) Can i expect to have to farm 1000g bc i wasnt fast enough lvl60? and can players that are lvl60 for some time and bought their epic mount for the full price expect to have wasted 820g? 4) what exactly was the thought process of these changes? I dont know how any of this works, but my solution would be: delete epic mount & riding for everyone who exploited, send them their 180g for it back and have them buy it again but for the intended 1000g. dont know it thats even possible to do, wont happen anyway bc this was clearly intentionally a gift for everyone who reached lvl60 early.

xp for quests get changed to be more blizzlike, warlocks running around with bought epic mounts. so blizzlike! guess its save to say the devs dont give a shit. New player? F*ck you!

I dont know what other servers even have to do with this early switch issue. So you are saying its still hard on Elysium to get the epic mount and i agree(and thats how it should be), but that still doesnt change that it was a lot cheaper for some players who knew about this early switch. 1 Thread with 2 pages is "blown out of proportion" for you? Some of you act like i am spamming the forums 24/7 even though i just made one thread which no one "agitated" me to do(and which the forums are for, or not!?), i just made it because its unfair. Im just a casual player like the majority of ppl on the server. also, dont get me wrong, i love playing on this server so far and one bad decision is not going to drive me away, but i am still allowed to ask questions about changes i dont understand, arent i?

Well if everyone on those servers has to pay the same price, even if its a low amount, its still fair, since everyone has the same price to pay, which isnt the case here. If the prices werent switched with 1.4 there would still be the same gankage as it is now. It hast nothing to do with ganking, its simply unfair to give the epic mount to some players for 280g while the rest has to pay 1000g, how anyone can argue against this, or not understand my(and a lot of others) point, is beyond me. still hoping for some kind of answer from an official, even if its just "we wanted to make our most active players happy". nothing that can be done about it now anyway.

gotta make myself clear since you dont seem to understand me. epic mount is not important in wow, thats news. 800g is not important, ok. im not calling for a 180g epic mount for everyone, im calling for a 1000g epic mount for everyone. if you think these changes were fair, then we have nothing to talk about anymore. all i wanted was a reply by a dev to clear the situation and mby tell us why they did it

ofc there were more 60s on classic servers, there isnt even the need to argue. patch 1.12.1 release 26 September 2006 and Burning Crusade came out 15. January 2007 that switch came in preperation of BC, to claim it has anything to do with being more "vanilla" is a joke.

what are you talking about? the swap came with 1.12.1, EVERYONE was lvl60 and had their epic mount alrdy. and if more players got it for 180g its even worse. who are you even talking about? what is your argument?
