Imp's Blood Pact Rank 1 possibly bugged

I just bought the grimoire of Blood Pact Rank 1 for my Imp, right clicked the book got the animation book disappeared from my inventory but the Imp never learned the spell.

 

Character's name is Malice on Elysium.

Just bought it again and it worked the second time, having to buy it twice due to a bug is pretty horrible but at least I have it.
