Mandoss 4 Report post Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) It seems in the evenings (NA time), usually around 0300-0400 ST, I get a MASSIVE spike in ping making the game unplayable for me. Every single other Internet based application I run is fine, stream is fine, Teamspeak is fine, Web Browser, Skype, ect ect ect. ZERO LAG. Just my game client. http://imgur.com/a/xBgrD (from tonight) I have run a VPN during these times and the lag clears away instantly, but since the free VPN I use has limited data available for me on a monthly basis this is clearly not a viable strategy to combat this. It started happening maybe a week ago or a little more? Edited September 11, 2016 by Mandoss
Hemi 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2016 Hey guys, Having the same problem as him. No other programs experience any connection issues, just brutal lag on wow at the same times he is describing. I also have resorted to using a VPN which immediately solves any lag. Hopefully someone can shed some light on what is going on here?
Mandoss 4 Report post Posted September 11, 2016 to help anyone who is smart enough to fix this for us, Hemi, where do you live? I am in Western Canada, possibly an error in the lines around the area?
Hemi 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2016 Central Canada. A good friend who is slightly more west than me is also having the same problem.
Unstop 88 Report post Posted September 12, 2016 We are under DDoS attack at the moment. Our DDoS protection if affecting a few players. Changing your IP will solve these issues right away. I'm unsure of other methods at the moment.
Mandoss 4 Report post Posted September 12, 2016 the ddos protection kicks in around the exact same time each day? I would think that a ddos would be a longer drawn out process not short fits and bursts almost as if scheduled on a time table. Are we sure its the ddos protection causing this?
roberted1982 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2016 I am still getting frame rate loss and lag spikes every 30 to 45 seconds for 1 to 3 seconds. It has gotten me killed more then a few times and I'm only lvl 6 pally lol. Wish this could be resolved. I Live in TX outside of Houston. SO I don't think location or local ISP is the problem
