So, what's been going on with the server?

The past couple of days there have been random DC's, though not everyone at once, almost in a staggering form.  The server uptime has been constant when I get DC's, indicating that the server itself is not going down.  Is the host having issues with networking, mitigating DDoS, or general stability?  I know it is not on my end, and I can identify it properly as such when it is with ping test's and tracert, which I have found my ISP had some area issues the week before last.  

 

If we could use the DDoS thread as a sticky and have it updated at a staff only level to inform the player base of when issues are ongoing that would be pretty nifty.

Random DDoS attacks are almost always the answer. We are always working to prevent them. We could, as you say, update the thread,... but it would mostly be the same things repeated throughout. That is to say, there would be little (if any) new information in such updates.
