Kaszub 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2016 Guys, My Click-to-move option is not working properly. As soon as I click the surface and my characters starts running to his destination, he stops after a few steps. Also, I've checked that topic (http://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=3138&p=28218&hilit=click+to+move&sid=b22c5a1d6ba16ad87cf1a99f2932fe5d#p28218). It seems to have something in common with the game/screen refresh rate, but I still have both set to 60 Hz. I've also tried my WoW with and withous V-Sync. No difference. How could I solve this problem? I'd be grateful for all your help provided. Inb4: botting or being a noob. I use that option to travel longer distances (click behind the horizon) while going afk.
Xyf 1 Report post Posted December 3, 2016 I tried it and it was stopping for me too after some steps, then I changed the "Click-to-move camera style" to some other setting and it was working .. weird. Also, as suggested you can use autorun as an alternative.
Kaszub 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2016 No matter what the camera following style is, it's still working badly. I've even managed to download WoW client once again and it's still broken. @Xyf - I guess I'll stick to autorun, thank you for your suggestion. Nice avatar, btw.
Athena 3 Report post Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) This is a known issue in this version of the client. Most botting programs patch a specific set of bytes in the client to fix this, but as you can probably imagine this is not permitted, which makes it realistic to assume that if the client in some way or another submits data that indicates CTM movement they might track this behavior server side (mind you, while I know a fair bit about this subject, my knowledge in conjunction with WoW is limited) which also makes it easier to detect bots as only those with that patch applied can walk such long distances with a single CTM call. Realistically speaking however I wouldn't expect CTM packets to appear any different on the server, with the client handeling everything CTM related instead... Either way, the summary is that you can't fix this without changing the client. Edited December 3, 2016 by Athena
