Having issues connecting

So new guy here, made the account and downloaded the client. Made the changes needed and tried logging in. when I entered the account name and password I got disconnected from the server. When I exited out of the launch screen and tried to relog it kept taking me back to the original launch icon in the program folder. I set the " Set realm list" thing needed to get to the right destination/ I dont get whats up. First time doing any of this.

Wait were you starting it up from the launcher or wow.exe?  Use the wow.exe.

Try following the multiple realmlist.wtf files in both locations. WTF Folder and root WoW folder.

 

If you have the realm list configured correctly, then I would try opening your Config.wtf inside the WTF folder and adding:

See line 22, just after SET readEULA "1" 

Adding this just after as it's own string: SET realmList "logon.elysium-project.org"

 

If that still doesn't work, I believe the direct IP instead of using the host name is:  set realmlist 164.132.233.125
