loading wow and realm.list problem

first account i made on this site wouldnt send me a confirmation email so i made another. finally being able to talk and get some help here cause discord isnt letting me on to your server or im missing some sort of instant invite it keeps asking for. but ok let me start off by saying when i finally downloaded wow again it worked right away and then i threw reamlist onto my desktop trying to follow along with others and opened it with notepad changed it to *set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org* without the **s idk if that is fully correct but after i did that im getting a error of wow.exe system error, the progarm cant start because divxdecoder.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the progarm to fix this problem. now should i reinstall or what cause it was working fine up intill i used notepad to switch the text in realmlist. help plz. it shows the file divxdecoder.dll right in with the other files so its not missing im not sure what went wrong.

Did you move the divdecoder.dll out of the wow folder too?  Did you put the realmlist back in the wow folder?

 

 

If your divx file is indeed corrupted and you used a torrent to download it, you could go back to downloading that and only select the dll files for download, won't take long at all.

I would suggest re-downloading the client again. Though, instead of the torrent download which i had issues with, the mega download I Haven't had any issues.

Also, though this may do nothing, I manually made a notepad called "realmlist.wtf" and put it into the WTF folder with the realm list as: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org

 

There is the root folder realm list and I made one for the WTF folder, which seemed to help my connecting issue. I know newer versions moved the realm list to this folder.

 

As for editing it initially, don't worry about moving anything or making a backup. It's easy if it does not work to make a new notepad document and edit the extension to .wtf
