Tempo 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2016 ~~~Disclaimer~~~ So far the 2 of us in the group live in the UK and the Netherlands so we will be online any time between 5:00PM-2:00AM GMT so only get in contact if you can make these times. Hey there future Druids! I've been in the works to try and start a leveling group on the fresh start Elysium PVP server. The reasons I'm doing this are: - I personally wanted to try something different as I'm a little burnt out on leveling solo waiting for these servers. Maybe you are too! - It will probably be a good idea to group up whilst leveling at launch as it will be utter chaos from the get go with everyone trying to quest at the same time in the same areas - We can have dungeon groups ready to go with a Tank DPS and Healer (i'll explain this more in a second) Now with a druid we will all be able to travel fast together and have limited downtime. This is because so far we have 2 people in this group. I am playing a Mage which will speed us up quite drastically and is useful utility with CC and being a drinks/food vendor. The other person wants to roll a Shaman which again is useful utility and most importantly can heal. So we will be Mage, Druid and Shaman. The pros to this are: - Travel speed... Shaman and Druid have Ghost Wolf and Cat form at 20 which are around the same speed with the Druid talents. Druids get Travel form at 30 which is faster but you would level slower solo anyways because of druids so so dmg and having to drink every once in a while - trust me it would be slower. Mages of course get Blink which isn't as fast as those but realistically you could end up going ahead of me most of the time and wait for me whilst doing other things, depending on the situation. At 40 we will all be the same speed with our mounts so no real issue there. - Downtime... We are all mana using classes so I'm sure we would find a way to have very limited downtime by drinking at different times. Also, again mages make drinks so no buying moonberry juice at lvl 35 for like 40s-1g a stack - GROUP PORTALS! <<< - Class roles... We will fill out the class roles perfectly with Tank DPS and Heals but can all just dps till we need to heal or need to tank a difficult mob etc. Also we can go to a dungeon pretty much instantly once we find 2 more players. The buffs from Mage and Druid will be nice and totems will increase our leveling efficiency quite dramatically. Some cons: - Before level 40 when Shamans get the ability to wear Mail, Druids and Shamans roll on similar leather gear sometimes. We can probably sort this out between ourselves though with the Druid wearing more tanky gear and the shaman more int/spirit gear. - Less exp per mob kill.... With us killing mobs up to 3x as fast and the fact that Mages can AoE grind if we find a decent spot, I don't actually think this is gonna be much of an issue. Maybe if we had a Warrior it would be an issue because we would move a lot slower in the world to get from place to place but as I covered we all have faster ways to get around. - We need to be online at the same time so we don't get too far ahead in levels. I recommend you just make an alt like I am, to level in any spare time that you want to play on this server. I'm not saying we have to log in and out at exactly the same time or anything we can pull a level or two ahead here and there Well that's it I think. I hope I convinced at least one of you to consider rolling with us on the server. I'm a pretty chill guy really, I just wanted to try something different with this so I'm hoping it works out. I'm not looking to rush to 60 but I don't want to slow down the leveling process either so we will need to be efficient in how we do things.
