Players movements are not updating.

Recommended Posts

[sOLVED]

First I was unable to see any NPCs or players or enter any instances. My hearthstone didn't work and unstuck did nothing so I tried killing myself with Hellfire. Once dead, I was unable to respawn or use the spirit healer. Finally I found someone to queue me for a BG and that seemed to do the trick.

However, now I'm back in Org and other players are not being displayed properly. Whatever movement they were doing when they enter my sight is what they are locked doing, ie they run in circles, straight lines, stand still, etc, however I can see them perform actions and cast spells.

I confirmed this using a bank alt. The bank alt can see my main move/perform actions but my bank alt (from my mains perspective) is locked in place where he first logged in. Tried deleting WTF and WDB folders but no luck. In both cases (fresh folders/no addons and saved folders/with addons) the bank alt worked properly but not my main. Suggestions?

EDIT: Made a new character on my main account and logged in with it, then got back on my main and the problem was gone...

EDIT 2 (boring details edition): Had this happen again so I'll add some details in the hopes that someone who can fix it reads this.

-Happened while farming Tyr's Hand (EPL) both times. I died and instead of going to the graveyard I was in the same place I died and could resurrect immediately. This seems to be what triggered the bug.

-Upon logging out/in I returned to the point at which I had resurrected.

-While bugged, I hearthstoned but it did nothing.

-Again fixed the issue by loading in on a different character on the same account (although this time it took 3-4 load ins)

-The final load in that fixed the issue brought me to where my hearthstone was set.

-WTF/WDB folders did not make a difference as far as I could tell.
