Help with getting started.

Okay, as my profile status says, I am litterly a Newbie. Omg....

I am trying to follow the guidelines as perfect as possiable, but somehow it does not seem to work, I cannot get WoW to work.

 

When you write that I have to install WoW, I do suppose that by that, you just mean that I have to unzip it. And so I did, I just did it to my desktop (hopefully there is not a problem with that?), then I created a shortcut of the WoW.exe file to my desktop. And well, that seem to work so fare, I am able to enter the game. But when I am going to log on I get a little problem.

Could it be a problem that I have not yet recived the email for somekind of registration, it will simply not get send to my mail, I have tried a couple of times now and nothing happens. 

Could it have something to do with the homepage crashing all the time?

So I have a difficult time to see what I have done wrong, 

I have even chanced the server to: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org and saved it as such.

But is it a problem that the file only is named realmlist and not realmlist.wtf and not is a notepad file, and not a what kind of file it was before the changes.
