Enulla 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 I'm having alot of problem with latency on the pve server, especially at peak times. 7pm onwards or so. Though it's -only- happening on the pve server. Pvp is fine, any other server is fine, it's specific to the pve server for some reason. I'm jumping up to 700-800+ ms for what seems like no reason, I've ran a trace on the server ip, and my highest jump was only 50ms. I've tried every suggestion my guild mates could come up with, I was just wondering if anyone here would have anything else to suggest.
Tumenor 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) Hi!What country are you connecting from, and whats the average MS when its not at peak? -- EDIT: Even though you're on the other side of the globe, 700 is way too high but we gotta shart somewhere Edited December 21, 2016 by Tumenor
Enulla 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 I'm in the UK. In the early morning I sit around 40-50ms.
Tumenor 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 There are massive loads on the server, a high amount of ms are to be expected during peak. I would assume less than 700, but as I remember during peak my spells take longer time to activate aswell. All these people online and overloading a zone, will for sure increase load on the server quite drasticly. And I am also guessing the PVE server hardware is worse than the PVP server, considering the cost of the PVE server is about half of the PVP server. (Source: donation page) Which makes me think, that the PVE servers capacity is maxed out during peak.
Enulla 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 That was my assumption too, but oddly I'm the only one in my guild having these problems. The rest of them all stay connected around 30-60ms even at peak time. I'm using the same ISP that I had when nost was last up too, and during that time I never went above 30ms.I'll most likely have to wait until the servers thin out a little to see if that's somehow causing a specific problem for me.
Tumenor 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 What zones are you in when this occours?
Enulla 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Absolutely anywhere. I've had it spike up inside dungeons, in really quiet zones, and in major cities. The game environment doesnt seem to affect it, but once it spikes up, it stays high.
Salt 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Ι have the same problem on PvP server, yesterday I had 50-60 ms even in peak time with full of ppl around me and while levelling. It was stable.Since the morning I have spikes(3-4 second) and my MS of 50-60 goes up to 1k-3k. I would like to bump your post and see if you found an sollution to this.
