nametakenwtf 3 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 hello boys i was thinking about starting a healer for wpvp as i want to play/experience something new i am leaning towards druid as it seems to be the most flexible one in this case (stealth, travelform, bear if trained, hots) second chioce would be priest as they are regarded as the top healer iirc, but i dont know how the other healers perform so do you guys have any experience with healing in wpvp, what is your go-to class for that matter or any pvp healing and why? are there other things beside class-mechanics i have to consider before picking a class and if yes what are they? thanks in advance for helping me out kind regards
Holkan 13 Report post Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Holy paladins are by far and beyond the best pvp healers. Next I would say is priests then shamans then druids (shamans better vs casters and druids better vs melee). That's not to say you can't do fine as other healers, but if you're put into a situation vs players your skill level or higher that hierarchy and gear will matter.Forgot to list why oops. Paladins have bubble obviously 12 seconds of uninterrupted healing is a seriously long time in vanilla. Blessing of sacrifice has no cool down and can be put on unlimited targets such as pets to make you uncc'able for cc that breaks on damage such as gouge blind sheep rocket helm etc. blessing of protection if you're vs physical damage is a god send and lets casters free cast uninterrupted it can be dispeled but due to junk buffs and the nature of rng it can stay on longer at times. Even then sometimes 1 or 2 seconds of bop are enough to get a clutch cc off or win a fight. Freedom for your dps to not be kited or to kite people is huge as well. Magic dispel is really important in pvp for roots novas sheeps seduces etc. Biggest downside of paladin is no offensive dispel like priests and shaman and all your heals are casted besides the 30 second holy shock which does some but not a whole lot of healing. Jyash 5 Report post Posted December 24, 2016 Holkan is describing healers in PvP in general. Which of course, straight up Paladins are the strongest in group PvP. However for wPvP in particular Druids are excellent. A well played Druid can beat anybody 1v1, albeit not as quick as some other classes can nuke somebody down. You just have to play your Druid as a hybrid, not straight up bear or cat, regardless of your spec. And yes Stealth is very fun and great for wPvP! =D Honestly if you like Druid, I don't think you'll go wrong being a Druid in wPvP. Sure you won't be able to amplifiy your group or Warrior buddy as hardcore as Paladin can, but you will certainly do a great job of it and if you team up with a Warrior you will be still be force to contend with. If play a Paladin your solo capabilities will be a lot weaker than that of a Druid as Paladins are the lowest damage class in the game. I'll let somebody else chime in on Priests and Shamans, I just wanted to let you know that Druids are great if you want to play one do it, and contrast it against the strongest pvp healer. People do a lot of theorycrafting, but at the end of the day, all classes and specs are excellent. They are all good in different areas, just play well and have fun!
