Xanbear 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2016 Guardians of the Oath is a fledgling Role-playing guild that plans to make its debut on the fresh PvP server when it releases. About us: Guardians of the Oath is a RP guild focused on community, and creating stories. It is a Semi-Hardcore guild in the sense of that not everyone has to RP, but we encourage and appeal to those that will RP the most. Theme: A chivalrous order born from old veterans from the fallen human kingdoms. Application: Just hop on in on discord, and we'll hit you up as soon as we can once the server launches. Discord: https://discord.gg/Zu4uhaB Backstory: Back in the third war, when Stromgarde was a beacon of humanity, The Knights of Stromgarde were a famed group of shock troops, responsible for the victory in many battles during all three of the great wars. During the height of the Third War, Stromgarde was hit with a series of events that would shatter the kingdom and scatter the people. It started with the assassination of Thoras Trollbane by his son. Followed quickly by a siege comprised of the society known as the Syndicate and the tribe of Boulder Fist Ogres. The city fell quickly, its defenders away in Lordaeron fighting the Scourge. This is not about the fall of Stromgarde, however. This is about the Knights and their recovery. After failing to repel the scourge in the north, and the Orcish Horde sailing west. The Knights of Stromgarde were at a loss, their kingdom lay shattered and they disbanded and with no guidance from the throne they joined their comrades from the other shattered kingdoms; those that had survived the razing of Alterac; the unlucky that were left outside the bubble of Dalaran; the men and women who escaped the plague in Stratholme; the few refugees of Lordaeron. They found work where they could, they took haven where they could, but after ten long years of inaction, what remained of the Knights and other such groups from humanity’s fall came together to form an order based on Honor, Duty, and Loyalty. They created an Oath to protect the weak, and uphold justice. They decreed this order “The Guardians of the Oath.”
