Problems creating a new account

I've played WoW since the start of Vanilla and have played in top server and world guilds (top 50), but finally quit at the end of Warlords. I've never played on a private server before. I have a few questions.

1) I went to the link https://elysium-project.org/play to register a new account. I don't have any characters to transfer and for about a week now did not receive an e-mail to authenticate that account. I realize there are still problems with that process. Question: Do I need to go through that process just to create a brand new character and start there? If not, where do I register an account after I've downloaded the client?

2) Will the process for creating a new account on the new PVE server on Jan. 7 be the same as in the above link I posted? Or will there be an entirely different process?

1) There may be some problems with email service . If you not recieving authentication email, try to check "spam" folder or use another email service. Try to register with @gmail.com an example.

2) No new PVE realms on Jan 7. There will be new PVP realm called Elysium PVP. You don't need to create seperate account to play on it.

1) I've checked spam and also created a gmail.com account. Neither has received any verification e-mail in a week.

 

What you're saying is that process is needed for all new accounts and for the new server, correct?

That's sad. Usually the emails delivered within 10 minutes.

Yes. There is registration instructions on this page - https://elysium-project.org/play . You can skip the third and fourth steps. The step two is necessary for all.
