Learning LW Pattern takes my 10 silver repeatedly without actually learning the pattern.

Just lost 30 Silver to the ironforge gnome LW trainer whom took my money when trying to learn the pattern dark leather legs. (115 lw) I'd love any help I could get, as well as a refund of my silver that was taken if possible! Thanks.
