Resolution not working anymore

I recently got myself a ultrawide monitor, and was happy to find out this worked on WoW (vanilla aswell), played around on the nost pvp server a couple of days ago just to see how it looked like, and felt pretty happy about it. ( http://i.imgur.com/hCRErgo.jpg )

But now it doesnt work anymoe, why is that?

Check your config.WTF in WTF folder, likely it has reset back to an older value. Orginal Vanilla didn't have that resolution available as a default option. So you have to load it in via config.

Well i didnt do anything with it, first when i logged in after downloading 3-4 days ago (friend of mine told me about the fresh start and all) it had my 3440x1440 resolution..and i could also put it to 100hz on the video options ingame.

So i tried deleteing the WTF, tried editing to change it to my resolution..but it jumps to either 800x600, or 1920x1080, i either have to play in window mode 1920x1080...or windowmode maximized 1920x1080, which doesnt look good at all xD

So where im at is...is this something i can fix? or something i have to live with..just wondering because it worked the first time i tried

Edit the config.WTF with notepad. You are trying to load an option that wasn't and isn't listed in the 1.12.1 client. So you need to enter it youself. Look for the resolution line, should be obvious.

I'm not saying you are wrong, ive done all that and for some reason i cant get it back to my native resolution, but thanks anyways..i guess ill play in window mode :P

for some reason its giving me the option ingame again now to change to 3440x1440, i hope it stays!
