there are a number of rumors relating the request from Nostalrius to the shutdown notice of The Rebirth in some grandiose conspiracy by Blizzard; this to me doesn't seem altogether unlikely. Does anyone have accounts/access to other forums that could search for signs of coming/potential shutdowns, community reactions, etc.

 

While it doesn't seem crazy that this is all part of some coupe by Blizzard, I think we should gather a preponderance of evidence and let that lead us, rather than the alternative.
