torrenz 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2017 (edited) spam on elysium pvp is getting out of control on old pvp whispering was disabled until lvl 8. low level players don't rely on whisper to organize groups or trade so this was a far more effective measure than giving every player the .wr option to completely disable whispers. spammers only got around this by using compromised accounts to whisper with, and those would be banned in time. on the new server, improved security and awareness of the leaked credentials means far less hacked accounts. spammers would be stranded; expect that they can now make lvl 1 characters and whisper freely. every spam whisper I've received has been from a lvl 1 without exception. unlike before these accounts are completely expendable and replaced far faster than they could be reported and banned. why remove this protection when we needed it the most?
