Latency increase East coast NA player

Recommended Posts

So the first 2 weeks since launch I had a stable 120-140ms, but the last 2 days or so I've been having crazy latency issues. I'm never below 200 anymore and usually range in the 250-300+ area with spikes up to 7-800 quite frequently and even over 1k at times. I've also been having an increasing number of disconnects out of the game lately. I counted 5 today in the ~3hrs I played, when I had no issues those first two weeks even with the insane queue and population spike. I'm wondering if anything with the servers or routing has changed? This is literally only a problem playing on this server. I've gone back and test my Kronos ping, it's stable and normal, no other games I've tried give me packet loss or delay either. Really just want to know what's up because this is killing my motivation to continue playing.

So since I've been in my 30s - low 40s with my hearth set to UC I hadn't realized this until today when going back to Kalimdor for Tanaris/feralas quests, but I literally have 0 lag issues on this side of the world. All my problems are coming from the Eastern Kingdoms zones.. Not sure if this helps the devs or anyone with figuring out my issue, but I'd like to think it helps somewhat.

other people were saying reducing view distance to medium helps.

Just to update: the server restart early this morning seems to have fixed all my issues. Back to a stable 120ms on both continents. Guess it was a server issue after all.
